Full Job Description
This Role

Norm is seeking a Director of Brand Events to build flagship programs that strengthen our market position and bring together the people shaping AI, law, regulation, and business. This role exists to establish events as a differentiated brand platform.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will own Norm's brand events strategy and execution end to end. You will determine where Norm should host, partner, sponsor, or create something new, then shape the programming, audience, speakers, partnerships, production, and guest experience.

What You'll Do
  • Build the strategy: Create Norm's brand events roadmap, including flagship programs and original event properties that can grow in reach and influence.
  • Identify opportunities: Determine the conversations, audiences, institutions, and market moments where Norm should have a meaningful presence.
  • Create exceptional programs: Lead executive forums, policy gatherings, industry events, strategic partnerships, and other high-profile experiences.
  • Develop programming and audiences: Shape each event's purpose, format, content, speakers, and guest list while recruiting influential participants.
  • Advise and collaborate: Partner with Norm's leadership and cross-functional teams on event opportunities, programming, partnerships, and external positioning.
  • Own execution: Manage budgets, timelines, agencies, vendors, production, hospitality, and on-site delivery from concept through completion.
  • Measure impact: Evaluate programs through strategic relevance, audience quality, relationship value, influence, and brand impact.

  • Exceptional executive presence and credibility with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to turn an ambitious or ambiguous idea into a clear strategy and exceptional finished experience.
  • Strong creative judgment paired with rigorous operational and financial discipline.
Nice to Haves
  • Familiarity with AI, legal technology, regulation, or another complex enterprise category.
  • An established network across business, law, government, policy, technology, or academia.

  • Develop a strong understanding of Norm's brand, business priorities, audiences, and existing event commitments.
  • Build relationships with key internal stakeholders and assess current partners, processes, and capabilities.
