Summary of Job Duties:

The Director of Advancement Information Technology leads the technology strategy and operations that support University Advancement at the University of Arkansas. Dedicated full-time to Advancement, the Director owns the Advancement application portfolio, donor and constituent data, system integrations, reporting and analytics, and vendor relationships in service of the universitys fundraising, alumni engagement, and donor relations goals.

The Director reports to the Chief Information Officer (or designee) within University IT Services, with a dotted-line relationship to the Vice Chancellor for Advancement (or designee). This structure ensures the role operates within enterprise IT standards for security, identity, architecture, and data while remaining fully accountable to Advancements mission and priorities.

The Director will work as a senior individual contributor, leveraging AI agents, automation, and integration tooling alongside UITS shared service teams  including Applications Development, Integrations, Microsoft Fabric and the Enterprise Data Platform, Identity and Security, and Project Management  to deliver Advancement priorities.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field

Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications.

  • Five or more years of progressive information technology experience, including responsibility for enterprise applications, data systems, or CRM platforms

  • Two or more years of experience leading projects, programs, or cross-functional initiatives

  • Demonstrated experience managing the operations and roadmap of a CRM or comparable enterprise business application

  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in a related field

  • Experience in higher education

  • Higher education experience within Advancement, Development, Alumni Relations, or a comparable function

  • Hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud) or a comparable enterprise CRM ecosystem

  • Experience with Advancement-specific systems such as Affinaquest, Advancement RM, Blackbaud, Encouras Anthology Encompass, VanillaSoft, Give Campus, ThankView, EverTrue, or similar

  • Experience with integration tooling (SnapLogic, Gearset, MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, or similar) and modern reporting and analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI)

  • Experience applying AI agents, automation, or low-code tooling to scale the capacity of small IT teams

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of fundraising data structures, donor pipelines, gift processing workflows, and prospect management practices

  • Familiarity with email deliverability practices (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and large-volume constituent communications

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, including the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.

$105,000 - $115,000 Commensurate with education and experience
