Posting Summary The Director of Operations and Administration of the Rutgers University-Camden Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FASC) will report directly to the dean and serve as a member of the dean's leadership team. The Director of Operations and Administration will provide leadership, planning, ongoing organizational assessment, and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the school. Within the school, this position will work closely with the dean, associate deans, business manager and department chairs and center directors, will develop and execute a strategic plan for the school to create operational efficiencies and maximize the resources of the school. Additionally, this position will provide coordination for the management of all operations within the FASC, facilities, human resources, security, etc. The Director will be responsible to manage and coordinate special projects as required and directed by the dean, and will coordinate facilities and space management projects for the FASC.

Salary Details Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university policy and salary schedules, as well as departmental budgets.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requires a bachelor's degree in administration, education, organizational development or related field, and five or more years of experience in a leadership role in higher education administration; demonstrated knowledge and understanding of higher education strategic planning and academic administration. Requires outstanding oral and written communication skills, demonstrated track record of project management, customer service/ interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills, advanced computer skills and ability to work effectively with staff (including training, the monitoring and evaluating of performances). Must be able to prevent and solve problems and evaluate and improve processes and practices. Must exercise sound judgement in decision making. Incumbent will be required to build relationships and engage multiple groups of stakeholders at various levels of the organization, as well as hold direct reports and school leadership accountable.
Certifications/LicensesRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesPreferred Qualifications Advanced degree preferred; demonstration of a history of leadership supporting change management and transformation.
