Position SummaryWe are seeking a Director of Corporate Accounting. This pivotal role will oversee our corporate accounting functions and financial consolidation processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management for our organization.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage the corporate accounting function and financial consolidation processes, including the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, including oversight of the preparation and maintenance of account reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Manage all corporate (non-operational) accounting processes, including multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactions
- Develop, implement and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain financial integrity and compliance. Assist with the research and documentation of new accounting pronouncements and technical memos.
- Work with our IT function to ensure our ERP systems (Infor SyteLine ERP) are managed and maintained appropriately, oversee the implementation and optimization of financial reporting and consolidation systems.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making processes
- Manage relationships with finance and treasury, operations and external auditors
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA certification required
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with a focus on corporate accounting, consolidations and reporting
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP, with a strong understanding of financial reporting requirements
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial management
- Proven track record in managing and developing high-performing accounting teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to align financial objectives with overall business goals.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of management
- Ability to research and document technical accounting matters and transactions
