Job Summary
This role looks to develop strategy and innovation to evolve store and pharmacy operations and position us well against future drug-retail trends. Responsible for enabling work across business units in support of patient and customer experience. Serves as a key business partner, consultant and liaison to senior executives, support office, pharmacy and retail operations leaders. Analyzes, interprets and leverages data insights to problem solve customer experience gaps efficiently. Consults, partners and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement across various business streams related to processes, programs, initiatives or pilots. Collaborates closely with peers to translate insights into improvement, continually enhancing the pharmacy experience for patients. Leverages project management methodology, design thinking and human-centric approach to develop end-to end strategies that drive increased efficiencies, effectiveness and execution across the organization, and exceptional customer and patient experiences. Serves as a champion of change and partners across the enterprise and National Operations to generate solutions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develops the National Operations strategic consumer experience model, including management of various programs, initiatives and messaging to drive business operations improvement.
  • Serves as the voice of National Operations on project, programs, process and policy, working closely with various departments throughout the Support Office. Connects bodies of work together to help maximize effective delivery of projects to the stores.
  • Works closely with peers to establish a strong feedback loop, act on insights/needs, ensuring the work is focused on improving the experience for the customers.
  • Directs the allocation and management of essential resources across the business and leads the overall program strategy to support the delivery of a positive brand image. Leads, manages and/or consults with individual project teams and deployment plans at various levels in the organization.
  • Executes against strategies that alter the competitive market dynamics and establishes a series of competitive advantages that deliver profitability that exceeds the expectations of the organization.
  • Assesses and aligns department competencies and staff development with business goals. Responsible for department morale and cross-department collaboration and problem solving.
  • Leads innovation for National Operations, working closely with other business units to generate solutions for stores and pharmacies. Directs the development and design of consultations and continuous improvement strategies that support base business teams to drive improved effectiveness and efficiencies in operations that lead to stronger business results.
  • Manages stakeholder relationships through supportive, effective coaching and feedback in all directions to foster growth in business outcomes.
  • Partners with and supports senior leaders across the organization.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in programs and initiatives across the business and provides consultations that result in improved outcomes.


External Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of retail or pharmacy operations experience (corporate or field) or a High School Diploma/GED and at least 11 years of corporate or field retail or pharmacy experience (corporate or field)
  • At least 3 years of experience presenting and reporting to stakeholders, executives and senior management.
  • Experience building, establishing, and maintaining relationships with individuals at various levels of the organization, such as peers, internal/external stakeholders, business partners, senior level managers and executives.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management methodology with experience utilizing accompanying suite of tools (for example: project charters, timelines, planning, organizing and managing resources to deliver a successful project completion including achievement of goals and outcomes).
  • Possesses the ability to manage all phases of the end-to-end project lifecycle from inception and implementation to risk management and benefits tracking.
  • Agile and flexible leader with proven ability to influence others in a mature and empowering manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to tailor communications and messages for the intended audience.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting columns).
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: developing comprehensive visual reporting and executive level presentations that deliver clear, concise and articulate business progress and performance presentations).
  • At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
  • At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross- functional team leadership
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (domestically and/or internationally)
