Full Job Description
General Summary/basic PURPOSE OF JOB:

This position has overall responsibility for the Medical Group and Physician Enterprise administrative performance, including the management of business administration services. Directs the daily business functions of the medical group to ensure its smooth operation in coordination with the ACMO and President, Medical Group/Physician Enterprise. Responsible for the non-clinical aspects of the day-to-day operations and efficiently manages "back office" within parameters established by regulations, including contract management and legal affairs, physician compensation management, payroll management, general paralegal needs, administrative functions and support staff oversight. Serves as liaison with key departments including legal, finance, HR, medical staff office, IT, compliance and others. Responsible for all coordination, communication and operational support provided to the medical group. This position has strategic involvement in projects that medical group/physician enterprise administration is involved in related to physician professional services.

Provides input in physician and practice contracting, ensuring that arrangements are compliant and consistent across the different service lines.

MINIMUM Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or health care administration or related field


MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 5 - 10 years' progressive experience in Physician Clinic Management/Medical Group, preferably with multiple specialty types
  • Minimum of 5 years of paralegal or paralegal/legal assistant support preferred
  • Experience in overseeing business office functions including contract management, provider compensation, and physician services functions


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Interpersonal skills must be well-developed.
  • Must possess the ability to set and achieve high standards of performance and effectively communicate with all stakeholders, including caregivers, leaders and physicians.
