Overview

About this Position:

As a Director of Analytics, you will be in charge of overseeing the paid media analytics practices at Team One. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading the Analytics and Ad Operations Teams.

Success for this position is measured by the ability to successfully manage and produce paid media reporting for internal and external use. The position will also be evaluated by the ability to provide leadership and direction for the Analytics and Ad Operations Teams.

An ideal candidate will have experience managing a team of analysts, delivering data-driven insights and collaborating with other teams to ensure continuous improvement of campaign programs.

What You'll Do:
  • Responsible for managing a team, providing coaching, guidance, inspirational leadership and performance management on a regular basis
  • Ensure accurate and timely campaign reporting for all advertisers
  • Collaborate with other departments to share best practices based on data-driven insights
  • Perform analysis for broadcast, search, online display, mobile, gaming and social/conversational marketing and overall return on investment by program and model
  • Fluently interact with syndicated media resources to perform analysis and critical thinking, applying business objectives, strategies and tactics
  • Analyze and present (written and verbal) key learning, insights and optimization recommendations to senior and executive audiences
  • Support media planning team with ad hoc analysis and report assignments
  • Identify opportunities to automate analyses and identify processes for efficiencies
  • Establish & maintain benchmarks for overarching media strategies and key campaign initiatives
  • Bring analytical rigor and precision to all reporting deliverables
  • All other duties as assigned

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in math, finance, statistics, economics, business, marketing or other analytical field
  • Demonstrated passion and affinity for telling stories with quantitative data
  • Ten years of analytics and database experience, agency experience a plus
  • 5-7 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience building and interpreting statistical models
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills: can clearly articulate in-depth media theories and concepts
  • Excellent organization and time management; ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail and able to prioritize tasks, multitask and manage time effectively
  • Ability to collaborate with agency constituents including strategic planning, account management, traffic, interactive and event planning
  • Problem solving skills - Ability to identify holes in data and provide reporting solutions
  • Critical thinking skills - Capable of generating consistent and accurate reporting results back to program/campaign objectives
  • Experience running A/B, pre/post, or control/exposed tests for performance optimization
  • Extensive knowledge of performance metrics, especially within digital and emerging media
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of tools, particularly MS Excel and Power Point including creating and applying Excel macros and other tools needed to automate reporting procedures
  • Knowledge of the following media software/systems is a plus: IMS, Millward Brown Market Norms, Nielsen AdRelevance, Compete, Kantar Stradegy, comScore, DoubleClick, Google AdWords, Mediaocean OX, GfK, Polk Insights, Keller Fay, Omniture etc
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, as required
  • Ability to use good judgment when making business decisions and performing tasks


Additional information

Compensation Range: USD $95,950.00 - USD $144,430.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
