Job DescriptionAffluent Sponsorship Strategy & Framework:
- Define and lead the global strategy for leveraging sponsorship assets to drive affluent growth and the Visa Infinite value proposition
- Establish a scalable, cross-functional operating model across asset sourcing, allocation and commercialization in partnership with Marketing Services
- Articulate the role of sponsorships across:
- Strengthening Visa INFINITE brand positioning
- Curate premium cardholder experiences and benefits
- Drive revenue enablement (for Marketing Services + Product)
- Align affluent strategy to enterprise priorities, including Visa's 2030 affluent growth ambitions
Commercialization Enablement & Revenue Growth:
- Support the commercial strategy of sponsorship assets for affluent audiences through:
- Marketing Services (hospitality assets, client activations, experiential programs)
- Premium / Benefit-as-a-Service offerings
- Cardholder value (cardholder fee justification) and INFINITE usage uplift within consumer payments volume
- Partner closely with Global Marketing Services and Product teams to:
- Translate sponsorship assets into affluent-specific offerings
- Enable productization of assets into tiered, sellable offerings aligned to Visa INFINITE
- Drive incremental revenue across B2B and B2B2C channels
Asset Strategy, Productization & Portfolio Integration:
- Develop affluent-specific asset strategies and carve-outs across the global portfolio
- Ensure assets are structured upstream (at deal stage) to support:
- Evergreen cardholder benefits
- Sellable Marketing Services inventory
- Affluent/Infinite-exclusive offerings (via Aero Blue)
- Drive integration across key passion pillars (e.g., sports, music, entertainment)
- Identify and prioritize net-new sponsorship opportunities aligned to affluent demand
Operating Model & Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Partner with Marketing Services and Product teams to establish and govern a global affluent operating model, ensuring clear roles across strategy, productization, and commercialization
- Serve as the single point of accountability for affluent sponsorship strategy and asset development globally
- Drive alignment with senior leadership (SVP+) on:
- Asset allocation
- Investment prioritization
- Commercial guardrails
- Lead affluent sponsorship SteerCo and working teams to ensure pipeline visibility, governance, and execution discipline
Insights, Audience & Experience Design:
- Affluent audience framework and key segments
- Translate insights into:
- Experience design and benefit roadmap
- Sponsorship selection criteria
- Ensure all offerings deliver premium, differentiated experiences aligned to affluent expectations
Team Leadership & Organizational Impact:
- Build and lead a high-performing function across strategy and execution
- Act as a thought leader, embedding an affluent-first mindset across the organization
- Influence global and regional teams to ensure consistent, scalable approaches
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- 10-15+ years of experience in sponsorship strategy, commercialization, marketing services, or related fields
- Proven track record of driving revenue through partnerships, experiential platforms, or product-led strategies
- Deep understanding of affluent / premium customer segments
- Experience operating in matrixed global organizations and influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to connect strategy to measurable business outcomes.
U.S. Applicants OnlyThe estimated salary range for this position is $178,300.00 to $ 285,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
