Full Job Description
Job Description:

Cboe Global Markets is looking for a Director, Market Data to help lead the next phase of growth for our global market data business. This is a senior, highly visible role with ownership and direct influence over a substantial portion of our global Market Data portfolio. In this role you'll have a mandate to shape the policy, product strategy and go-to-market approach that drives market data revenue worldwide.

You'll partner closely with Sales, Product, Legal, Compliance and Technology, and represent Cboe with exchanges, vendors, independent software vendors (ISVs) and other industry partners.

This role will be leveled as Director or Senior Director based on the selected candidate's experience.

Product & Program Management
  • Direct responsibility for the Options and Futures classes for market data, serving as the go-to authority - internally and externally - on data content, use cases and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate across the global market data portfolio to shape market data policy and product strategy, partnering with Legal, Compliance and Product to evolve licensing frameworks, fee schedules and new data offerings as market structure evolves.
  • Guide sales enablement for market data, equipping the sales and account management teams with the tools, training and positioning needed to accelerate global data revenue.
  • Lead strategic program management for the U.S. market data business. Serve as the primary U.S. point of contact for critical, cross-functional initiatives to keep these programs on track, even where other teams share responsibility for delivery.

Channel & Vendor Growth
  • Grow Cboe's channel and vendor ecosystem in close coordination with market data leadership and support from the broader team
  • Oversee key strategic partnerships including relationships within the Cboe Global Index Feed portfolio
  • Manage and actively grow Cboe's data vendor portfolio by developing deep relationships with partners, serving as their key technical touchpoint, and overseeing programs directed at making Cboe the most vendor friendly exchange globally
  • Create and oversee programs targeted at growing relationships with key ISV partners to support new client acquisition and drive revenue across transaction services and market data

Other
  • Analyze competitor fee structures and benchmark product pricing to ensure competitive positioning and identify opportunities
  • Review and assist in the process of drafting commercial contracts, policies, and legal filings in coordination with the legal team.

The Ideal Candidate Has
  • 10+ years of experience in market data, financial markets or data licensing, with strong knowledge of listed options and/or futures market structure.
  • A track record of shaping data policy, pricing and product strategy at an exchange, data vendor or financial information provider.
  • Experience enabling and supporting a sales team to grow a data, subscription or licensing business.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs from strategy through execution.
  • Strong relationship-management skills, with experience managing vendor, ISV or distribution partnerships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data policy and licensing concepts for internal and external audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or a related field required; advanced degree a plus.
