The Highlights:

The Director reports to the Assistant Dean of Admissions and plays a key role in the recruitment and admissions of students to the College of Law. This position will perform duties as the head of the Law admissions department in the absence of the Assistant Dean. This position directs the CRM/application database, oversees a nuanced communication plan, and enhances recruitment and yield strategies through involvement in on- and off-campus events. This position directs recruitment strategy, including off-campus recruitment events. The Director also focuses on yield and contact with prospective and admitted students in large groups, small groups and individually as well as with prelaw advisors, key colleges and pipeline programs. This position works with internal University departments, external organizations and College of Law offices. This position develops and implements strategies that engage prospective students, admitted students, prelaw advisors, community organizations and groups, and other academic institutions via relationship building, funnel management, and strategic outreach efforts in order to attract and meet annual enrollment goals for JD, non-JD, 3+3, and Joint-Degree programs. Weekend and evening hours and travel to attend recruitment fairs and events and College of Law admissions events and programs are required.

What You'll Do:

Manages Off-Campus and Application Generation Recruitment Strategies and Represents the College of Law at Recruitment Fairs and Pipeline Programs. Directs off-campus recruitment efforts, including registration, staffing and accommodations. Recruits prospective students by representing the College of Law at recruitment fairs and Law School Admission Council Forums throughout the United States and internationally. Position requires extensive travel. Maintains relationships with key colleges, prelaw advisors and pipeline programs. Directs recruitment and outreach programming with law school partners.

Manages Office Operations and On-Campus Events. Oversees day-to-day office operations with support of admissions staff. Assists with planning, coordinating and preparing for all on-campus programs, including prospective and admitted student programs and Orientation. Leads presentations to prospective law students.

Manages data and prospective and admitted student communication flows throughout enrollment funnel.
Develops and executes queries to create, promote and track inquiries, prospects and recruitment events. Ensures smooth data flow and updates to university SIS/ERP and data record filing system. Manages the delivery of communications to prospective students and applicants, including communications related to application generation and yield strategies.

Reviews admissions applications for admission and scholarship. Manages relationships, including communications with and file review, of cohort populations.

Manages 1 part-time assistant director of admissions, 1 full-time admissions counselor and 1 student worker.

What You'll Need:

Bachelors degree required.
Prefer a JD, Masters in Education or equivalent education & experience.
A minimum of 5-7 years experience in admissions in a progressive, fast-paced university environment is preferred.
Knowledge of CRM and admissions data systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experience in event and project management; public speaking and presentations.
This is a professional position that requires extensive travel as well weekend and evening hours to attend Admissions programs and events and to meet with prospective students throughout the United States and internationally.

The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $64,662 to $102,000.

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
