Full Job Description
Summary

Within PanAgora, the IT and Engineering group has a substantial impact on the firm both in terms of

systems under management and in an outsized percentage of total budget spend. Given its size, the

team is capable of driving changes as necessary across the entire firm. Over the last two years, around

half of the staff have turned over, resulting in an opportunity to ensure that the ongoing focus of each

role is in pushing PanAgora's technology stack forward.

PanAgora seeks to conduct a full review of all IT and Engineering management processes, team

organization, and technology systems (the "Project"). The goal of the Project is to obtain an

independent opinion on ways to accelerate adoption of AI technology and ensure that legacy systems

can be modernized safely and effectively. A secondary but nonetheless important goal will be to identify

areas of risk through technology, including systems that (i) are likely to degrade over time; (ii) are

already out of date; (iii) require modern frameworks; and/or (iv) have improper test coverage.

Project Goals are as follows:
  • Propose a path for modernization of all internally developed systems as necessary to reduce business risk or accelerate development.

  • Identify business risk from existing technology decisions and architectures

  • Ensure that AI tooling is adopted in an effective way while minimizing the risks inherent in the tooling

  • Review IT budget spend and make recommendations for adjustments to vendor selection or technology selection.

  • Review team structure, team sizing, and team communication paths to identify areas of

friction or gaps in communication paths throughout the IT organization

  • All people, processes, and systems under the IT and Engineering organizations will be eligible for review within this scope of work. This includes, but is not limited to, production data centers, systems, operating systems, internally-developed software, purchased software, SaaS products, network interfaces and any similar systems.

Essential Skills, Education and Experience:
  • Undergraduate degree in technology or applicable technical training/certification required
  • 7+ years of experience in systems and networking, with a focus on the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and security
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft based technologies, including Windows 2019/2022, Windows 10/11, Office 365
  • Familiarity with supporting and maintaining virtual platforms
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
