Full Job Description

At Spreetail, our fulfillment centers are the engine behind every customer promise we make. We're looking for a strategic, data-driven leader to own inventory accuracy and quality assurance across our FC network - someone who doesn't just identify problems, but architects the systems and disciplines that make them rare. You'll sit at the intersection of people, process, and technology, partnering across fulfillment, software, and other stakeholders to continuously raise the bar on how we operate and how our customers receive their orders.

How will you achieve success:

  • Champion Inventory & Quality: Drive best-in-class inventory control and quality assurance across the fulfillment center (FC) network, ensuring all product is received, stored, and billed accurately.
  • Resolve Operational Failures: Deep dive into root causes for shipping errors, damaged products, and systemic variances, deploying corrective action plans to decrease failure rates.
  • Lead Strategic Initiatives: Write comprehensive program whitepapers to scope business impact across people, process, and technology, proposing enhancements to existing operations.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner seamlessly with customer experience, software, and fulfillment teams to turn performance opportunities into a continued strategic advantage.
  • Analyze & Model Data: Model data and metadata for pre-built and ad hoc reporting to identify trends in inventory accuracy, replenishment, and overall FC performance.
  • Optimize the P&L: Analyze program and product risks to present actionable, data-driven business recommendations that optimize fulfillment cost-per-unit and operational throughput.
  • Deploy Standardized Processes: Drive new disciplines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and job instructions across the network to enhance the customer delivery experience.
  • Executive Communication: Communicate complex strategies, performance metrics, and recommendations clearly and concisely to peer-level stakeholders and senior executive management.

What experiences will help you in this role:

  • Core Experience: 5+ years of leadership experience in fulfillment or operations management, heavily focused on e-commerce, high-velocity inventory control, and quality assurance.
  • Process & Financial Acumen: A proven track record of managing complex business processes, deploying quality programs, and leveraging P&L knowledge to optimize operational costs.
  • Technical & Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with the ability to model data for optimization problems, backed by expertise in Excel and ideally SQL or similar database query languages.
  • Executive Communication: Exceptional cross-organizational communication skills with the demonstrated ability to present clear business recommendations and navigate ambiguity.
  • Self-Driven Execution: Highly organized, effective at time management, and capable of driving impactful results with minimal oversight (MBA in Business Analytics or Supply Chain Management is a plus).
