JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Global Partnerships leads the development and execution of multi-year partner programs that generate +$4.5M in annual revenue while delivering measurable ROI for partners. This senior leader manages a tiered portfolio of corporate partnerships and sponsorships, drives new business development, and builds lasting enterprise relationships. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, deep experience in value-based selling, and a track record of building and sustaining enterprise-level partnerships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership

  • Build and manage a tiered strategic partnership framework that maximizes both revenue and partner value.
  • Design and execute a multi-year partnership strategy aligned with organizational revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with CBDO to identify and pursue new partnership markets and verticals.
  • Use business intelligence, including competitor tracking and market dynamics to strengthen ACC's position with current and prospective partners.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and partner-facing meetings.


Revenue & Business Development

  • Set and achieve annual revenue targets across corporate sponsorship deal flow.
  • Identify, cultivate, and close new multi-year partnership agreements.
  • Develop compelling partnership packages with clear ROI metrics for prospective partners.
  • Oversee renewals and upsell opportunities within the existing partner portfolio.
  • Review and apply financial forecasts, pricing models, and ROI metrics to inform deal strategy.


Team & Cross Functional Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Partnerships Manager.
  • Set team KPIs and hold team members accountable to performance benchmarks.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on results and relationship excellence.
  • Guide membership, content, marketing, and programs to align deliverables with partner commitments.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Operations Manager on forecasting and performance reporting.


Operational Oversight

  • Ensure accurate pipeline tracking, partner records, and forecasting in the CRM platform.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations to optimize workflows, reporting, and data integrity.
  • Oversee contracts, deliverables, and fulfillment across all partnership agreements.
  • Interpret dashboards and revenue reports to inform renewal strategy and partner investment decisions.


EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in partnerships, sponsorships, or business development.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role, preferably within a nonprofit, association, or professional society.


COMPETENCIES (KSAs)

  • Demonstrated track record of closing and managing multi-year, six- to seven-figure partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of value-based selling and partner ROI frameworks.
  • Exceptional C-suite communication, presentation, and networking skills.
  • Advanced negotiation skills to finalize profitable enterprise agreements.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Cadmium, HubSpot); experience with revenue operations preferred.

LANGUAGES

ACC seeks to hire multilingual candidates. Fluency in English is required, and a second language is preferred.

Travel as needed.

SALARY RANGE

$157,000 to $185,000 - When determining a salary offer, consideration is given to candidates that possess minimum requirements and preferred qualifications.

  • The flexibility of a hybrid schedule (only two days in the office on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) and remaining days you can work from home. Staff working in the Washington DC office must reside in the DMV area.
