Job Description:

The Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO) is recruiting for a Director, Global Compound Market Access Leader (CMAL) in Neuroscience based in Raritan, NJ.

This role operates on a hybrid model (3 days per week onsite), consistent with industry standards and designed to balance flexibility with collaboration.

This is a senior strategic leadership role accountable for defining and delivering the global market access strategy for assigned Neuroscience asset(s) within JJIMs industry-leading Neuroscience portfolio. The CMAL serves as the Market Access accountable owner at the compound level and is a core decisionmaking partner to Global Commercial, RD, Medical Affairs, and Regional Access leaders.

This role is designed for leaders who want to operate at the intersection of science, evidence, policy, and commercial strategy, and who have direct influence on development decisions, launch sequencing, and longterm value realization.

You will operate with clear decision rights, senior leader visibility, and real strategic impact, ensuring access considerations are embedded early, coherently, and credibly across the asset strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Access Strategy & Asset Leadership

  • Own and lead the global market access strategy for the asset(s), fully aligned with global asset and portfolio priorities

  • Serve as the Market Access lead on the Compound Development Team (CDT), influencing key decisions on clinical development, indication prioritization, patient segmentation, endpoints, evidence generation, and launch sequencing

  • Integrate pricing, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), real-world evidence (RWE), access policy, and payer insights into a clear and compelling global value strategy

Evidence & Development Influence

  • Shape integrated evidence generation strategies to strengthen compound development plan and support payer/HTA needs

  • Partner with CDT to ensure programs meet payer/HTA and policy expectations across key markets

  • Lead the design of health outcomes studies, economic models, and realworld evidence strategies that support sustainable reimbursement

Regional & CrossFunctional Alignment

  • Drive strong collaboration and strategic alignment within GCSO 3M team (Marketing, Market Access, and Medical Affairs) to enable a unified strategy and clear, timely decision-making across functions

  • Build and lead a highperforming cross-functional Compound Market Access Team (CMAT) and Extended Market Access Team (EMAT), driving clarity of roles, decision rights, and strategic focus

  • Collaborate closely with Regional Access, Pricing, and Policy teams to deliver coordinated strategies to support timely and optimal reimbursement outcomes across key geographies

  • Lead early scientific advice, payer research, and external engagement strategies to anticipate and mitigate access risks

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Actively coach and develop Market Access talent within the matrix, fostering strategic thinking, clarity of ownership, and accountability

  • Serve as a thought leader within GCSO on evolving access trends, particularly in Neuroscience

Experience & Capabilities
  • Advanced degree (Masters required; PhD, PharmD, MD preferred)

  • 8 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry (global, regional or operating company level) with a focus on Market Access, HEOR, or payer-related roles

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in the reimbursement landscape across key international markets, preferably in a Market Access Lead role with extensive payer negotiation experience

  • Proven ability to influence clinical, commercial, and evidence decisions in a complex, matrixed environment

  • Strong understanding of global HTA, pricing dynamics, and payer decisionmaking

  • Demonstrated leadership without authority and comfort operating at senior levels

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$164,000.00 - $282,900.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Companys consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).



This position is eligible to participate in the Companys long-term incentive program.



Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation 120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado 48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington 56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays 13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave 30 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave 80 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave 0 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave 2 hours per calendar year

Military Spouse Time-Off 0 hours per calendar year
