Director - Global Compensation

Work Mode: Onsite

Location:Onsite, four days per week - Kohler, WI

Opportunity

The Director Global Compensation is a recognized expert in compensation with significant influence on policy, program development, and enterprise success. This role leads initiatives of critical importance with organization wide impact, driving global compensation governance, program modernization, and consistent pay practices.

Global Compensation Strategy and Governance
  • Lead global compensation strategy and governance aligned to enterprise goals and Total Rewards philosophy
  • Establish and maintain global compensation policies, controls, and decision frameworks to strengthen equity, consistency, and transparency
  • Build complex frameworks to assess short term and long term business needs and translate them into compensation solutions and recommendations

Compensation Consulting and Business Partnership
  • Serve as a senior advisor to HR leaders and business stakeholders on compensation strategy, pay decisions, and program interpretation
  • Provide authoritative recommendations on technical and professional solutions that improve business performance and talent outcomes
  • Coach HR and leaders through complex compensation transactions and governance requirements

Program Design, Modernization, and Process Excellence
  • Design and evolve compensation programs and processes to ensure competitiveness, consistency, equity, and compliance across regions
  • Lead continuous improvement to simplify processes, improve cycle execution, and strengthen controls and standard work
  • Develop innovative solutions by integrating and analyzing complex and diverse information sources

Global Career Framework Governance
  • Develop and lead global career framework compensation governance including structures, decision rights, and leader enablement to drive adoption

STI Program Transition Leadership
  • Lead short term incentive transition work including program rules, eligibility, timing, and change impacts in partnership with HR and Finance
  • Drive implementation readiness including communications inputs, leader guidance, and operational handoffs

Workday Enablement for Compensation Programs
  • Partner with the Workday team to configure and test compensation programs and eligibility in the tool
  • Ensure Workday configuration aligns to governance, policy intent, and practical administration needs
  • Support compensation related data management and knowledge management practices to enable reliable administration and decision support

Market Intelligence, Data, and Analytics
  • Conduct and analyze compensation market surveys and best practices to support market pricing and program competitiveness
  • Apply analytical techniques to validate data quality, synthesize insights, and support recommendations and decision making

Stakeholder and Executive Engagement
  • Collaborate across HR COEs, IT, and regional HR leaders to drive adoption of global standards and consistent practices
  • Communicate complex programs clearly to leaders, associates, and partners


Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 10 plus years progressive Total Rewards experience with deep compensation expertise
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise scale compensation governance, program modernization, and transformation initiatives
  • Proficiency in managing complexity, optimizing work processes, and applying business insight to advance organization goals
  • CCP Certification Required

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
