Position Summary:The Director of Global Commercial Strategy, BD reporting to the VP, Head of BD will provide commercial input into Business Development opportunities (collaborations, partnerships, licensing, and acquisitions) and help lead efforts towards BD solid tumor strategies. The candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization, with high expectations and accountability on quality of deliverables. The candidate will also need to work in a cross-function matrix with other key stakeholders such as Discovery, Drug Development, Medical, Commercial, BD, Search & Evaluations, Transaction teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with internal search and evaluation, research, development, and financial leaders on assessments of external assets that are candidates for BD transactions such as M&A, licensing
- Lead commercial due diligence tailored to stage of development and size of transactions. Assessments include but not limited to sizing the market potential, prioritizing business opportunities, building competitive landscapes, creating target opportunity profile, and forecasting
- Partner with Global Commercial Tumor Strategy leads to identify portfolio gaps and minimum thresholds for portfolio additions
- Guide internal forecasting and competitive intelligence teams to provide inputs for valuation and competitive landscape assessments
Key Qualifications & Experience:- BS/BA or equivalent required; an MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 8 years of corporate / business unit strategy or global marketing experience in pharmaceutical / biotech industry (either directly within a pharma company or via work at top-tier consulting firm)
- Experience in Oncology and partnering with Global Drug Development/Research & Early Development preferred
- Strong ability to understand and engage in scientific and clinical data communication effectively
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills enabling effective structuring of business problems and development of strategic disease and franchise recommendations; development of market/asset forecasts and market sizing;
- Demonstrated success in mobilizing cross-functional matrix teams to drive optimal business results
- Proven ability to develop executive-ready presentations coupled with strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Well organized with a proven ability to build out a practical workplan, prioritize work with autonomy, balance multiple major strategic initiatives simultaneously and drive results with speed

Compensation Overview:Princeton - NJ - US: $202,030 - $244,810
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. On-site ProtocolBMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:
Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
