Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary:

Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls the activities of the Facilities Management department, construction, grounds and plant engineering to provide services, repair and maintenance necessary to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the hospital and clinic facilities and to maintain a comfortable physical environment for patients, employees, medical staff and the public in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, budgetary requirements, and applicable local, state and federal building, safety and hospital codes. TMCA is a multi-facility campus in excess of 1.5 million square feet with an annual budget in excess of 3 million dollars. Other related duties as required or assigned by supervisor. Embrace and consistently demonstrate TMCA initiatives, encompassing both patients and employees.

II. Position Requirements

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: None

B. Education:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or business field or equivalent experience in a health care setting.

C. Experience:

Minimum of 5 years management experience in a health care setting with demonstrated experience in budget management, performance improvement and operations effectiveness.

D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of medical terminology and medical technology, budget preparation, laws and regulations relative to safety management, equipment management, security management and emergency preparedness. Must have effective verbal and written communication in order to communicate a clear concise manner with staff, employees, patients, public, physicians and administration.
