About this roleAbout this roleWe are seeking a Director, Estate & Wealth Consultant to deliver sophisticated estate, tax, and wealth structuring expertise across our most complex advisor engagements.
This is an advisor-facing, strategic role that combines deep technical expertise with commercial impact-partnering with top advisors to enhance client outcomes, deepen relationships, and drive growth across UHNW portfolios.
Key responsibilities Advisory & structuring - Lead complex estate and wealth planning engagements, including multi-generational wealth transfer, business succession, charitable giving, IPO/liquidity events, and executive compensation planning
- Deliver tax-aware, integrated solutions that align portfolio design with estate structures
Coverage & commercial enablement - Serve as a subject matter expert across UHNW advisors, CIOs, and home offices
- Support prospective advisor conversations and contribute to new business development
- Identify and advance strategic partnership opportunities across the advisor base
Content & thought leadership - Develop white papers, frameworks, and educational content on estate planning and wealth structuring
- Translate complex topics into clear, actionable insights for advisors
Cross-functional collaboration - Partner with Portfolio Design Services, After-Tax Wealth Strategists, and other specialists to deliver a coordinated UHNW experience
- Contribute to the evolution of BlackRock's scaled UHNW service model
Qualifications - Deep expertise in estate planning, wealth transfer, and tax-aware structuring
- Experience working with UHNW advisors
- Strong ability to simplify complex concepts into advisor-ready solutions
- Proven commercial mindset with ability to influence outcomes and drive growth
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
For San Francisco, CA and New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$200,000.00 - USD$270,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.For Princeton, NJ, Chicago, IL, Boston, MA and Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$185,000.00 - USD$250,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
