Full Job Description
The Director Enterprise Delivery Services, in support of their assigned strategic focus area develops, implements, and executes strategies to deliver on the Healthfirst strategic plan. This person has the responsibility to educate the company, suppliers and other invested parties on all technology, process and organization changes in his/her assigned focus area. This position plays a major role in the enterprise transformation of Healthfirst, and will oversee any on-going implementation or refinement after any launch or process improvement changes are released into the business. Will engage in a highly collaborative manner with our leaders and will partner to ensure the success of all change management efforts.

The Director is a leader on the Enterprise Delivery Services team and oversees multiple enterprise-wide teams, projects and programs that are broad in scope and independently manages large or mega projects that have enterprise-level strategic importance, high to very high risk and risk interdependencies, multiple interrelationships, and major costs associated with project delivery.

This particular leadership role will be focused heavily on the needs of the Clinical Delivery Team

This position requires three days per week in office (Tues/Wed/Thurs) at 100 Church Street, NYC or

1101 Greenwood Ave Lake Mary, FL

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partners with Enterprise Delivery Services, the business, Information Technology and implementation teams to capture all aspects of a portfolio of projects/programs.
  • Partners with key business stakeholders to define portfolio objectives and works with various stakeholders on planning and delivery.
  • Oversees the execution of multiple projects, resource deployment and overall coordination efforts to ensure initiatives are completed on schedule and to budget.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates project activities through the entire project life cycle.
  • Creates and executes plans and other required documentation designed to meet stated goals using Healthfirst project management tools and principles.
  • Ensures the achievement of project objectives and drives business value by guiding teams through execution and stabilization.
  • Actively manages all stakeholder expectations and relationships.
  • Drives teams to resolution of issues/risks, including facilitating mitigation strategies.
  • Partners with Change Management resources to ensure that communication and training are defined, planned for and delivered as appropriate.
  • Actively facilitates discussions to address issues including risk management within and across associated projects and presents information to key stakeholders including committees, project sponsors and leaders at all levels.
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements, communicating goals, objectives and responsibilities, keeping the project focused in terms of scope, schedule, communication and risk.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience in management consulting, leading change management, transformation, and capability building
  • Experience in leading functions and/or project teams for multi-functional, large programs
  • Strong leadership and proven track record of developing talent, coaching and development skills; ability to manage senior leaders and build teams
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to create and edit documents/presentations and manipulate data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA, or related master’s degree from an accredited institution (a plus not required)
  • Strong program management experience required; Experience in an Agile environment a plus
  • Strong Business Acumen and 5-10 years prior experience in Healthcare industry required
  • Experience with clinical applications/platforms and integration required; familiarity with Pega, Availity or TruCare a plus
  • Experience with implementation of clinical programs, with emphasis on government programs, a plus. 
  • Experience leading matrixed, cross-functional teams required
  • Industry work experience in managed or long-term care, insurance, government or other healthcare agencies required
  • Experience working with one or more managed care plan products, such as Managed Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, Long Term Care, and/or Commercial products required

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $174,700 - $267,155

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $143,400 - $219,300

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
