Job Description:The Director of Investment is the team leader in Investment for groups serving one, or several client assignments. The Director is ultimately responsible for setting priorities, allocating responsibility, and measuring performance of the Investment team. The Director may also have direct and ongoing client relationships that are essential in delivering the best Investment work, while also serving as a crucial link in the overall agency-client relationship. As the responsibilities of Investment truly become platform agnostic, we expect the Director to be the ultimate expert in the negotiation and implementation of video solutions in both the linear television and digital arenas. This pertains to both client-specific deliverables as well as agency-wide "portal" responsibilities.
Responsibilities - With a focus on client deliverables, as well as broader agency responsibilities, the Director uses their knowledge base to lead their team(s) of Investment professionals
- Allocate team resources based on account priorities and deliverable timelines, create and maintain team dynamics with a focus on consistent learning and innovation
- Provide thought leadership surrounding the overall video marketplace landscape while being the leading voice and knowledge source of cross-platform video within the client team
- Oversee clear performance metrics and develop associated reports (in collaboration with Strategy and Marketing Science) to measure KPI's, utilizing campaign results to optimize learning and ensure continuous improvement
- Some leadership of larger, agency-wide negotiations that demand advanced skills, relationships, and marketplace sensibilities
- Within partner relationship, leverage client spending and agency positioning to derive the clearest advantages for the client from both quantitative and qualitative standpoints
Qualifications - Extensive video buying experience across Linear, Digital and Advanced TV environments - Understanding of video marketplace dynamics and ability to formulate and present investment strategies & POVs
- Ability to foster a strong, cohesive working team, providing leadership and instruction
- Knowledge of the principles of advertising, marketing, and media (minimum of 10 years of industry experience)
- Knowledge of the dynamics of media
- How each media element performs alone, how they perform together, and how they are constantly changing
- Strong overall communication skills with a focus on presentation excellence
- Track record of leadership, accountability, and strong relationships across the industry

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
