Job Description:Account Director The
Account Director will independently manage medical education plans for brands from strategic concept development through implementation and financial reconciliation, driving daily development and execution of account initiatives, and will serve as a main client contact. This individual will also leverage their scientific acumen and tactical experience to assist in the organic growth of the account, as well as support and manage direct reports.
What You Will Do:- Develop and maintain positive client relationship by serving as account key contact; grow account and revenue organically by implementing growth mindset and providing value to the client
- Have a strategic understanding of the brand and marketplace to support content reviews and tactical recommendations
- Manage the development and production of account-assigned communication tactics, either independently or as supervisor of account team
- Develop external correspondence associated with tactical development and coordination
- Strengthen and leverage key opinion leader relationships
- Be responsible for overall account fiscal status, including reconciliation
- Support creation of annual brand tactical plan and financial estimates
- Leverage all account relationships (medical, clinical) to increase account revenues of brands and therapeutic class categories
- Gain experience in managing an entire account brand from assisting in strategic concept development through tactical implementation
Requirements:- Degree in life science or degree in liberal arts, marketing or communications, with a strong appreciation for medical communications and scientific storytelling, and an interest in pharmaceutical marketing
- 4+ years of experience in medical communications, in an account management setting
- Excellent communication (written and oral), analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Proven leadership across all facets: self, individual, team, and client
- Solution focused, with a high degree of problem-solving
- Comfortable leading client strategy
- Highly organized, able to manage time and prioritize tasks for self and for others
- Passion for excellence and extremely detail oriented
- Willingness and ability to travel for programs if requested; 10% travel likely (pending accounts)
$85,000 - $115,000
Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
