Job DescriptionThe
Director, Customer Growth Direct Card Marketing sits within the Customer Growth arm of the Prospect, Partner & Customer Growth Team (i.e. the Performance Marketing arm of USCS) and will lead the end-to-end management and innovation of the Email and Direct Mail channels for our existing Card Member base, with the goal of driving incremental revenue through core spend treatments on Premium, Lending and Co-brand Card Products.
These channels will be a critical area of focus as we seek to elevate the way we drive awareness and consideration of our products, particularly as technology evolves. This person will also lead Membership Merchandising Strategy for the Customer Growth organization, connecting products, benefits and value propositions into a more cohesive Card Member experience across channels.
Responsibilities- End-to-end channel management for Email and Direct Mail Customer Marketing - understanding and using the operational and performance levers to drive results at scale
- Developing marketing strategies to drive performance breakthroughs and deliver greater incremental revenue
- Creating a strategic perspective and go-to-market adaptation as channels evolve through the increasing adoption of AI
- Use data to analyze and assess channel and creative performance, identifying areas of optimization and opportunities for growth
- Build strong relationships across US Consumer Marketing (USCM) as well as key partner teams both in and outside of the blue box
- Lead with an external perspective, keeping a pulse on competition and the broader marketing landscape to widen our advantage
- Lead a team of 8 Band 30-35 talent, including four B35 Direct Reports
Qualifications- Strong strategic thinking/visioning. Determines opportunities through comprehensive analysis of current and future trends and builds winning strategies.
- Performance marketing experience, with an understanding of how to leverage marketing to deliver measurable business results.
- Excellent collaborator. Can facilitate collaboration both within the team, as well as with key partners across the Blue Box
- Strong analytical and business acumen. Able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw meaningful insights
- Highly curious and proactive. Demonstrates ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information. Brings new ideas to the fore.
- Clear and articulate communicator with the ability to influence senior leadership and key partners
- Fantastic team and people leader; able to motivate and inspire a group as well as individuals
- Enthusiastic and passionate marketer. Has a can-do attitude.
