What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will support Fixed Income Portfolio Managers in security selection and credit research across global investment grade and high yield markets. You will deliver actionable insights and recommendations that drive portfolio performance.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $160,000 to $200,000.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

How you’ll succeed

  • Deliver high-conviction credit recommendations that directly influence portfolio outcomes.

  • Dive deep into issuer and sector analysis, combining rigorous financial modelling with market insight.

  • Lead the development of investment theses for both investment grade and high yield credits in sectors

  • Collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers and fellow analysts to challenge ideas, unlock value, and understand risks.

  • Share your expertise through clear, persuasive communication—internally and with clients.

  • Anticipate macro themes, market trends and regulatory changes,

  • Lead with impact within the credit team and across CIBC Global Asset Management.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in Global IG and HY credit markets and track record of alpha driven credit calls.

  • You have a degree in finance, accounting, STEM or related field.
