Director - Telecom, East

Locations: Wilmington, NC Charlotte, NC Nashville, TN New York, NY
Must be based in or able to work from one of the above PRG offices.


Project Resources Group (PRG) is expanding across the Eastern U.S., and we are hiring a Regional Director to lead large-scale fiber and HFC construction programs across multiple markets.

This is not a senior PM role.

This is a high-impact leadership position for someone currently operating at a Tier 1 contractor, major MSO, or national fiber provider who is ready to own regional execution, financial performance, and operational scale.

If you have led multi-market fiber deployments, managed P&L, and built high-performing field teams - this is your opportunity to step into true regional ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Regional strategy and execution across fiber, HFC, FTTx, and MDU programs
  • Multi-market construction performance (schedule, budget, margin, quality)
  • P&L accountability and cost control
  • Client relationships at the executive level
  • Subcontractor performance and field productivity
  • Safety culture across all active projects
  • Team development, leadership bench strength, and succession planning
  • You will be responsible for driving measurable performance improvements across markets while scaling operations to meet aggressive client growth targets.

Qualifications

  • Leading large fiber construction programs at a Tier 1 contractor, national integrator, or major MSO
  • Managing multiple markets or high-volume builds
  • Accountable for budgets, forecasting, and margin performance
  • Driving subcontractor accountability and field execution
  • Comfortable operating at both executive and field levels
  • 10+ years of telecom construction leadership experience
  • Deep expertise in underground and aerial fiber deployment
  • Proven success delivering complex builds on time and within budget
  • Strong financial acumen and operational discipline
  • Executive presence and the ability to influence clients and internal stakeholders
