Position Description: This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum of 3 days per week subject to change at any time.
The Director will serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, lead multi-disciplinary delivery teams, and shape strategic growth opportunities within key accounts. This role requires a leader who can operate at both strategic and operational levels while driving measurable business outcomes.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Client Leadership & Business Development
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across financial services organizations in the Greater Toronto Area.
• Identify, shape, and secure opportunities related to data platforms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
• Lead strategic pursuits, proposal development, and solution positioning aligned with client business priorities.
• Contribute to the growth of CGI's Data & AI practice and the broader Financial Services portfolio through account expansion and new business development.
Data & AI Strategy and Solution Leadership
• Lead the development of enterprise Data and AI strategies that align technology investments with measurable business outcomes.
• Design scalable, secure, and business-focused solutions leveraging modern data platforms, cloud technologies, and AI ecosystems.
• Advise clients on the adoption and implementation of emerging technologies, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and advanced analytics capabilities.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions for executive and business stakeholders.
Delivery Excellence
• Oversee the successful delivery of consulting engagements and large-scale transformation programs from strategy through implementation.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and achieve defined business objectives.
• Establish governance frameworks and delivery best practices related to architecture, risk management, security, and solution quality.
• Collaborate with local and global delivery teams to ensure scalable and efficient execution.
Financial & Operational Leadership
• Manage a portfolio-level profit and loss (P&L), including revenue growth, profitability, forecasting, and resource planning.
• Drive sustainable business growth through disciplined pipeline management and delivery excellence.
• Support budgeting, strategic planning, and operational performance initiatives within the practice.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams of consultants, architects, engineers, and data specialists.
• Contribute to the development of CGI's Data & AI capabilities, methodologies, accelerators, and reusable assets.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and professional development.
Innovation & Thought Leadership
• Stay current with advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud technologies, and modern data platforms.
• Contribute to internal and external thought leadership initiatives within the Financial Services industry.
• Promote best practices related to AI governance, responsible AI, data management, and emerging technology adoption.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:• A credible authority in the business operations of Canadian and/or US Banking/Financial Services companies.
• 10 + years of growing responsibility in a technology consultancy with demonstrated track record of converting client intimacy and trust into: consulting and systems integration sales, high quality project delivery, satisfied clients.
• Demonstrated success building and leading executive (C-Suite) relationships within Ontario-based Banking/Financial Services companies.
• Ability to drive proposal, pricing, and contracting for multifaceted client initiatives.
• Lead P&L and financial accountabilities.
• Experience with Technologies, i.e., Agile, DevOps, Cloud, AI, RPA etc. is a significant asset.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field of study; and MBA would be preferred
**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $145,000-$195,000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
