Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Operations, the Director, Commercial Insights & Analytics leads the analytics engine for Hologic's Diagnostic Solutions commercial organization. This leader owns the division's commercial analytics, insights, and reporting, is accountable for the commercial revenue forecast and the models that predict it, and serves as a primary analytics partner to Sales, Marketing, and Finance. They lead a multidisciplinary team spanning strategic and market analytics, channel analytics, self-service BI and reporting, and commercial and franchise analytics, and partner with the central enterprise data and platform team on the underlying data and platform while owning the commercial visualization and reporting layer built on top.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, PE-owned environment with significant executive visibility. Success depends less on any single tool and more on judgment, ownership, and the ability to take an ambiguous problem and drive it to resolution. We are looking for a resourceful, accountable leader who builds trust quickly, collaborates seamlessly across functions, and consistently raises the bar for the team.

The Director will set the multi-year analytics vision, complete the transition from retiring Qlik reporting to Power BI, and help guide how the organization adopts AI, starting with the team's own ways of working.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Team
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary analytics team; set standards, prioritize incoming requests, and dynamically deploy capacity against the highest-value work.
  • Assess and optimize team structure and role alignment to maximize impact, coverage, and development.
  • Set and communicate a division-wide analytics vision and roadmap, building a culture of ownership, speed, and analytics-driven decision-making.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and a seamless partner to Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Operations.

Forecasting & Commercial Planning
  • Own the commercial revenue forecast and the predictive models behind it, ensuring accurate, timely, and defensible forecasts.
  • Partner across the commercial planning cycles (annual budget, quarterly forecast, and monthly business reviews) to align analytics and forecasting across Finance, Sales, and Commercial Operations.

Analytics, Reporting & AI
  • Oversee the design and delivery of predictive market and revenue models, segmentation, and ad hoc analyses that inform go-to-market strategy and executive decisions.
  • Serve as a primary analytics partner to the Commercial organization, supporting campaign, product, portfolio, and go-to-market decisions with data and insight.
  • Ensure a reliable, self-service reporting environment (Power BI) for leadership and partner teams, and complete the migration from retiring Qlik reporting.
  • Help guide AI adoption (e.g., Claude) across the function, championing AI-enabled ways of working within the team and informing the broader analytics direction.
  • Oversee the competitive, market, franchise, and channel intelligence produced by the team to proactively inform commercial strategy and executive reviews.

Partnership & Governance
  • Partner with IT and BI on the enterprise data foundation (architecture, pipelines, governance, and the Databricks lake): IT owns the master data and core lake, while this team owns the commercial visualization and reporting layer built on top.
  • Review the commercial data and structures IT sets up in the lake (e.g., Databricks) and provide feedback to ensure business adjustments and definitions are correctly reflected before the data flows into reporting and decisions.
  • Manage market research and data vendor relationships and budgets, ensuring quality, ROI, and dependable delivery.
  • Collaborate with Pricing and other Commercial Operations teams as needed to support shared commercial objectives.
  • Lead change management and adoption for analytics and AI innovations across the Diagnostic Solutions division.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven people leader who develops talent and earns trust quickly; brings an ownership mentality, a bias to action, and a resourceful, solutions-oriented approach in a fast-paced, high-visibility, PE-owned environment.
  • Strong analytical and technical fluency: able to lead an analytics team, set BI and AI strategy, and partner credibly with IT. Deep familiarity with Power BI and modern cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks; Snowflake or similar acceptable) and an understanding of predictive and machine-learning methods (hands-on coding not required).
  • Demonstrated ownership of revenue forecasting or predictive commercial models.
  • Comfort with, or strong aptitude for, AI-enabled analytics (e.g., Claude) as a way to elevate the team's output.
  • Outstanding executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills; able to translate complex analysis into decisions for senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated change leadership and delivery in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or a master's in a quantitative or technical field preferred.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of progressive experience in commercial analytics, insights, or commercial operations, including leading multidisciplinary teams and advising executive leadership.
  • Track record of building revenue forecasts or predictive commercial models and delivering measurable business impact through analytics and AI.
  • Experience partnering with IT and data teams on enterprise BI and data platforms (e.g., Power BI, Databricks).

The annualized base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $250,100 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
