  • Drive vulnerability management, security remediation, and platform-wide operational security initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging regulatory and sovereign cloud requirements and develop strategies to support global customers.

Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps)

  • Develop and maintain cloud financial management practices that provide transparency and accountability.
  • Partner with Finance and Engineering leaders to align technology investments with business priorities.
  • Introduce automation and operational tooling to improve forecasting accuracy and cost visibility.
  • Establish frameworks that balance innovation, performance, and cost control.

AI Strategy & Operational Enablement
  • Drive responsible adoption of AI technologies across Engineering and Shared Services.
  • Evaluate, operationalize, and govern AI platforms, services, and tooling.
  • Develop strategies for monitoring, managing, and optimizing AI-related infrastructure and spend.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and decision-making through AI-enabled workflows.
  • Partner with business and engineering stakeholders to maximize organizational value from AI investments.

Vendor & Technology Management
  • Lead evaluation, selection, negotiation, and lifecycle management of cloud providers, technology platforms, and engineering tools.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key technology vendors and service providers.
  • Manage major cloud and software licensing agreements.
  • Assess emerging technologies and vendors to ensure Magnet continues to operate with modern, efficient, and scalable platforms.

Engineering Leadership & Developer Experience
  • Build, develop, and lead high-performing cloud and platform engineering teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Improve the developer experience by reducing friction, enhancing tooling, and enabling self-service platform capabilities.
  • Create an environment where engineering teams can build, deploy, and operate software efficiently and reliably.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or related technical disciplines.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering managers and/or technical teams.
  • Deep expertise with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with building and maintaining a private cloud infrastructure.

  • Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, governance, and risk management.
  • Experience with cloud financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience evaluating and managing technology vendors and strategic partnerships.

Indicators of Success

We're looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in "skills and experiences". It's more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, than to find folks who have "been there, done that". We want to be part of your development journey, and we'll learn as much from you as you learn from us.

How We Work

At Magnet Forensics, we take a hybrid-flexible approach to support your productivity and work-life balance. If you're within a comfortable travel distance to one of our offices, you'll occasionally join us in person. How often you'll come in depends on your department and team needs, typically ranging from weekly to monthly. These in-person moments help us build stronger connections, spark new ideas, and celebrate our successes together. Most days, you can choose what works best for you, while staying in tune with your team's goals.

We're excited to welcome you to our team and look forward to achieving great things together - both in the office and wherever you work best!
