Director, Clinical Supply Chain

The Role:

The Director, Clinical Supply Chain position will implement and maintain an integrated supply strategy across Syndax's clinical programs to ensure reliable product supply for global oncology trials. They will oversee all aspects of clinical supply management including forecasting, packaging, labeling, distribution, inventory management, and vendor oversight. This role requires an understanding of the oncology development lifecycle and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead clinical supply strategy for large, complex Phase III study, supporting global enrollment across multiple countries, sites, and distribution channels, in addition to smaller, earlier stage studies.
  • Translate clinical protocols, enrollment assumptions, country activation plans, and patient forecasts into integrated supply requirements.
  • Lead scenario planning and supply-risk management for enrollment variability, protocol amendments, additional countries, and unexpected demand.
  • Manage direct outsourcing of packaging, labeling, warehousing, and distribution for clinical materials.
  • Oversee clinical label text design, translation, and implementation to support global clinical supply requirements and study timelines.
  • Develop contingency strategies for manufacturing delays, batch failures, country-specific requirements, supply constraints, and changes in enrollment forecasts.
  • Represent Clinical Supply Chain in cross-functional Clinical Operations and Demand Planning meetings, translating clinical enrollment forecasts and program requirements into actionable supply strategies and proactively identifying and mitigating supply risks.
  • Mentor and develop junior clinical supply-chain professionals, providing coaching, knowledge transfer, and opportunities to build technical and leadership capabilities. Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture and support career development.
  • Collaborate with CMC, Quality, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Finance, and others, as needed to ensure joint success.


Desired Experience/Education and Personal Attributes:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred. APICS certification or coursework is desired.
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life-sciences supply-chain experience, with significant clinical supply experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Phase I-III clinical development programs.
  • Experience with global clinical supply planning, forecasting, packaging, labeling, distribution and inventory management.
  • Strong experience managing CDMO's, CMO's, CROs, depots and other external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional programs and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with both ambient and cold chain products.
  • Strong analytical, financial, strategic-planning and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and executive communication skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to effectively manage multiple activities and problem-solve to achieve business needs.
  • Business travel, to various company offices, suppliers, and partners as required.


Location: Syndax's corporate office is in New York, NY.

Syndax offers a total compensation and rewards package that is among the most competitive in the industry. Base pay is just one element of our package and is determined within a range based on several factors including market data, experience, qualifications, demonstrated skills, relevant education or training, travel requirements and internal equity. Our overall package also includes an equity offering, annual target bonuses, and an outstanding benefits program. The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is $215,000 - $230,000.
