SPMF-Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation - North

Position Overview:
The Director, Regional Operations under the direction of the SHBA Foundation Operations Executive will, plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate the operations of their specific location, ensuring operational excellence that supports the organization's strategic focus on quality, service, and affordability that meets the overall strategic direction of Sutter Health Bay Area and Sutter Health. Position will be responsible for implementing and monitoring policies and procedures that ensure high-quality, efficient and compassionate patient care. Incumbent will work collaboratively with the geographic leadership team and service line leaders, to promote planning, innovation, and problem solving within their local geography. This position has authority, accountability and responsibility for all building operations in their assigned geographic area, including patient satisfaction, quality of care, and responsibility of managing all capital expenditures. The position requires a working understanding of business and financial practice, lean operating principles, the ability to communicate, interact and work with all levels of staff, physicians, and leadership within their region.

Job Description:

EDUCATION
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • Bachelor's: Business, Health Services or related healthcare field or equivalent education/experience


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
  • 7+ years progressive management experience in healthcare setting with at least 5 years in managing multiple care center operations and / or ancillary / support departments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management, strategic and operational planning, and developing, implementing and monitoring new and existing programs, processes and practices.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining physician, vendor, and contractor relationships.
  • Expertise in leading management and multi disciplinary teams in the achievement of company goals.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to all levels of the organization; recognizing the diverse needs of patients, physicians, staff and the multiple Sutter affiliates.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Demonstrated knowledge in areas of physician practice operations and financing and managed care business Prior experience in a managed care market required.
  • Demonstrated record of developing highly effective working relationships with physicians.
  • Excellent communication skills including oral, written and presentation.
  • Effective leadership skills and decision-making skills.
  • Core management skills in Lean Process preferred.

Pay Range is $209,185.60 to $334,692.80 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
