Job Summary
The Director,Data Solutionsacts as a day-to-day contributor on specific client teams focusing on omni-audience development and coordination with Traders and Traditional Activation teams for campaign implementation and measurement.TheDirector, DataSolutionsis an expert in leveraging Horizon27s proprietary Connected Marketing Platform calledblu. to enable data-driven marketingand partners directly with Data Scientists on the accounts.This role will be embedded within the Business Solutions team and assigned to a specific pod of accountsand report directly to a VP,Data Solutions.
In addition to client work,this rolewill be expected tobe a contributor tocontent and use cases fornew business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
10%-UnderstandingData Driven Marketingat Horizon
Comprehensive understanding of how theblu. platform works and can be used.This includesunderstanding allblu. data sources, data dictionaries, taxonomy, refresh cadence, how and where data can be accessed (UI, Snowflake, APIs).
Ability tocome up withuse cases for clients on the spot.
45%-Insights & Planning
Explore anddefinesseed audiences for audiencestrategyagainstbusinessobjectivesby product usingblu. and or client 1P data
Directs Data Scientists on queries needed for insight development and or custom audiences(with oversight from VP+)
Define correct model
Dictate individual model inputs
Framework of business rules for query
Review similarities and differences of attributes against audiences.Uncover insights that lead to high value audiences through output investigation.Prioritize audiences against KPIs.
Identifiesuse cases for usage of attitudinal dataor custom survey work
Provides input toAnalytics team on KPI construct
Size seed audiences, lookalikesand availability of audiences by partner inblu.
Based on comms goals, build screen & partner allocation based onobjectivesand audiencedeliveries
Builds out audience architecture by product and KPI and against messages and landing pages
Coordinates with client CRM teamor other buying teams internally or externallyon audiences and messages
Works with platform activation teams who help recommend2nd party and platform datathatisneededbased on client objectives
45% Activation & Optimization
Finalizes audience architecture, avails, budgets
Defines frequency goals with Digital and Traditional Activation teams
Works with activation teams on mix between video, display, othervehicles
Distributes to media partners and internal HMI buy platforms.Set up any new partners for distribution and return path data.
Works directly with Traders and Traditional Activation teams on campaign implementation and troubleshooting
Partners withVP andData Scientist toidentifynew audience optimizations based on campaign performance data
Collaborates with client CRM/Email teams on audience development and optimization
Partners with analytics on reporting insights

7+ years27 experiencewith data and tech including using DMPs/CDPs, Addressable TV
Understanding of programmatic
Proven experience in audiencedevelopment

Salary Range
$145,000.00 - $185,000.00A successful applicant27s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual27s skill sets, experience, training, education,licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
