Job Title: Director

Location: Troy, Michigan

Position Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and optimize secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud architectures infrastructures in AWS, ensuring they align with best practices and business goals. Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automating deployments and disaster recovery. Continuously analyze and optimize workloads deployed in cloud environments for performance, availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Lead a team of DevOps and Cloud engineers, providing hands-on guidance, identifying areas for improvement, and driving solutions that add business value. Recruit and manage both U.S. and non-U.S. team members. Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to implement and enforce policies and procedures that meet internal standards and client requirements, and security. Ensure all automated controls are in place to maintain continuous compliance. Design and run controlled scenarios to ensure the team is prepared for unexpected failures in the system, maintaining high availability and meeting the business continuity plan. Work closely with IT, security, compliance, and business teams to align cloud infrastructure projects with strategic goals. Interface with technical and executive leadership to drive key initiatives. Serve as the primary point of contact for cloud service providers (e.g., AWS), engaging with account managers and ensuring optimal service delivery and cost improvement tasks. Develop and conduct both theoretical and practical training sessions for engineering, data, and DevOps teams to enhance their cloud and infrastructure capabilities. Lead the technical and business-level coordination of system migrations, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime and no data loss (e.g., migrating from on-prem to the cloud). Support mergers and acquisitions by reviewing technology, development efforts, and security controls to ensure integration with Class Valuation standards. Define scalable, distributed cloud networks and ensure secure connectivity for end-user environments, including Amazon Workspaces for controlled access to applications and data. Telecommuting and working from home permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Systems Engineering and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in the related occupations of DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, Full Stack Engineer or equivalent. Required 3 years of experience must include implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines for Production workloads, enabling developers to work autonomously on their application code. 3 years of experience must include programming languages and scripting technologies such as Python, C#, Ruby, Bash, and PowerShell, as well as Database Engines including MySQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, and Redis; Monitoring tools including Grafana, Grafana Loki, and Prometheus; Operating systems including Linux (Ubuntu and Centos); CICD and DevSecOps tools including Jenkins, Git and SonarQube; Developing and maintaining automated functional and integration tests; and Writing code and solutions for FrontEnd, BackEnd, and database layers.
