ABOUT THE ROLEAs we continue to scale, we're looking for a Director of Business Operations to build and optimize the operational infrastructure that powers our business. This is a unique opportunity to shape the systems, processes, and data foundation that enable our commercial organization to grow efficiently while delivering an exceptional experience for creators, advertisers, and partners.
The Director of Business Operations is a strategic leader responsible for the operational infrastructure that supports our advertising and creator monetization business. This role owns the systems and cross-functional workflows that power the revenue lifecycle-from sales through campaign execution, billing, reporting, and business intelligence.
Beyond managing our core business systems, this candidate will define the long-term strategy for our operational data ecosystem, building a centralized, trusted source of truth across products, inventory, sales, revenue, and performance data. Working closely with Sales, Ad Operations, Finance, Product, Engineering, and Executive Leadership, you'll help build the operational foundation that enables our next stage of growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex operational challenges, building scalable infrastructure, and transforming data into actionable business insights.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Systems
- Own the strategy, administration, and optimization of Salesforce, our Order Management System (OMS), and other revenue technology platforms.
- Design and improve workflows spanning opportunity management, order processing, campaign launch, invoicing, revenue recognition, and reporting.
- Partner with internal teams to prioritize systems integrations, automation, and platform enhancements.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies that improve operational efficiency and business scalability.
- Maintain system integrity, user permissions, documentation, and governance across all operational platforms.
Business Operations & Process Excellence
- Design and implement scalable operational processes that support rapid business growth.
- Lead cross-functional operational initiatives from planning through execution.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the commercial organization.
- Drive operational readiness for new products, partnerships, pricing models, and revenue streams.
Data Strategy & Operational Intelligence
- Develop and own the long-term strategy for a centralized business operations and sales team data platform.
- Build a scalable operational data hub that unifies product, inventory, sales, and performance data across systems.
- Establish standardized business metrics and reporting definitions across the organization.
- Champion data quality, consistency, and accessibility to improve decision-making at every level of the business.
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, and analytics to streamline operations and generate actionable business insights.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the operational bridge between Sales, Ad Operations, Finance, Product, Engineering, and Client Success.
- Lead strategic projects that improve organizational effectiveness and business scalability.
- Manage change initiatives related to systems implementations, process improvements, and organizational growth.
- Train and enable teams on new tools, workflows, and operational best practices.
WHAT YOU WILL NEEDRequired
- 10+ years of experience in Business Operations, Revenue Operations, Commercial Operations, Advertising Operations, or a related operational leadership role.
- Experience administering and optimizing Salesforce within a revenue-focused organization.
- Experience working with advertising technology platforms, OMS platforms, or media operations systems.
- Deep understanding of the pitch-to-pay lifecycle and digital advertising operations.
- Proven success designing scalable business processes for high-growth organizations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience building executive dashboards and operational reporting.
- Exceptional project management and cross-functional leadership experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across technical and business teams.
NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER- Experience in digital media, creator economy, advertising technology, or publisher operations.
- Experience implementing or managing platforms such as Operative.One, Boostr, MediaOcean, or similar OMS solutions.
- Experience designing or implementing enterprise data architecture, operational data platforms, or master data management initiatives.
- Experience with business intelligence platforms including Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience evaluating and implementing AI-driven operational workflows and automation.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $128,000.00-179,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
