What you'll be doing

As the Director, Business Analytics, you'll lead a dynamic team within the credit risk department, providing specialized guidance and expertise to staff and clients. You'll deliver insightful analytics and leverage automated tools to empower the business to make profitable decisions. By developing both short- and long-term plans, you'll address the evolving needs of the credit risk team, internal stakeholders, and external partners. Your leadership will support the implementation of risk models and strategies, as well as the development of platforms that help manage accounts and optimize the risk/reward trade-off. You'll drive innovation by optimizing the use of advanced analytical techniques and leading-edge tools, ensuring CIBC remains at the forefront of business analytics.

  • Innovation & Strategic Vision - Lead risk management initiatives and drive innovation through process enhancement, targeting operational pain points and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Analytics & Reporting - Direct the execution of analysis, modeling, and reporting of performance data to support continuous improvement. Oversee the design and development of complex reports to optimize critical business decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Build and maintain effective relationships with CIBC business partners and external industry vendors to facilitate effective design and delivery of risk tools and strategies.
