Job Title: Director

What the day will look like

McLagan Partners, Inc. seeks a Director in Norwalk, Connecticut to analyze data. Complete product cycles for investment banking and investor services businesses, including compensation data collection from clients, compensation data review and cleaning, and compensation data finalization. Generate market benchmarking reports. Support day-to-day relationships with investment banking clients (including boutique and middle market IBs) and Securities Services clients (including Custodian Banks and fund servicing firms) by answering compensation and industry-related questions, negotiating contracts, and offering the latest trends within the industry. Provide up-to-date trainings and demos on how to use data analytics platforms for report generation and report consumption. Conduct executive benchmarking, salary banding, job architecture, grade pyramid, sales incentive plan review, productivity report, industry pay practice, long-term incentive plan review, and peer group analysis. Build report templates, examine data output, and build and refine commentary to provide qualitative insights. Update financial benchmarks on a quarterly basis to keep internal teams updated with clients' latest financial data and performance. Assist regional teams and non-Financial Services sector leaders to prepare conference materials and meetings with clients' compensation committee or management committee by providing financial statistics. Research existing and emerging trends for investment banking and investor services businesses. Build marketing materials to show business capacities and product offerings. Prepare and support Human Capitol and Total Rewards RFPs for bidding businesses. Develop processes to increase productivity and efficiencies using Excel VBA, Tableau, and SQL. Analyze datasets related to both compensation and financial general ledger extracts. Store and automate data using Microsoft Access database. Local telecommuting available up to 3 days per week. Annual Salary: $175,781 - $228,250.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field, plus five years of progressive data analysis experience. Must have at least two years of experience in each of the following: 1. Completing product cycles for investment banking and investor services businesses, including compensation data collection from clients, compensation data review and cleaning, and compensation data finalization; 2. Conducting executive benchmarking, salary banding, job architecture, grade pyramid, sales incentive plan review, productivity report, industry pay practice, long-term incentive plan review, and peer group analysis; 3. Preparing and supporting Human Capitol and Total Rewards RFPs; 4. Using Excel VBA, Tableau, and SQL; 5. Analyzing datasets related to both compensation and financial general ledger extracts; and 6. Storing and automating data using Microsoft Access database.

Salary range or hourly pay range for the position

The salary range for this position is $175,781 - $228,250 annually.
