Job Description

Director of Ambulatory Services is responsible for setting strategic direction, providing leadership, and driving successful business models for top quality Ambulatory Services at John R. Oishei Children's Hospital. Responsible for day-to-day operations and long term strategic directions, requires administrative, financial, strategic planning, marketing, and public relations skills and requires extensive interaction with internal and external stakeholders for the success of the hospital. This individual will be responsible for non-clinical decision making as she interacts with institutional and community physicians, nurses, hospital and university administrators at Kaleida Health. Serves as the Hospital Liaison with Corporate functions relative to Ambulatory Services. Serves as the primary interface with community and faculty physicians to meet the full range of physician needs. The Director is responsible for the improvement of patient, employee and physician satisfaction for Ambulatory Services, and will collaborate with nursing leadership to ensure overall satisfaction improvement. The position will promote dynamic, effective leadership and team building, encouraging the development of accountability, responsibility and decision making in her team members.


Education And Credentials

BS - Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. MS - Masters of Science in Nursing Preferred.. Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.

Experience

A minimum of five to seven years experience in clinical practice management or hospital administration with extensive successful experience in business development, program development, growth, or service line management. Ability to analyze, assess and articulate effective decisions. The ability to work and reason independently. Thorough understanding of financial fundamentals of health care so as to effectively recommend strategies to improve operations that are quality driven, cost effective and market sensitive. Ability to analyze, assess and articulate effective decisions. Excellent communication skills, ability to present effectively to large and diverse audiences. Documented and accomplishments in the area of process and performance improvement. Evidence of leadership, creativity, integrity, and problem solving
