Position SummaryAs a
Director, AI Solutions, you will lead the strategy, governance, and ongoing evolution of artificial intelligence and automation capabilities that support healthcare proposal development. This role is responsible for establishing a scalable AI operating model, driving adoption across the organization, and ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value. You will partner with proposal leadership, technology teams, and business stakeholders to enhance proposal quality, efficiency, compliance, and competitiveness through innovative AI-enabled solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities- Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for AI, automation, and proposal technology solutions to improve efficiency, quality, compliance, and business outcomes.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for AI platform administration, user enablement, workflow optimization, prompt strategy, and proposal support.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks, operating standards, and risk management practices that ensure responsible and compliant use of AI technologies.
- Partner with proposal leaders, information technology, compliance, security, and external vendors to drive adoption, optimize platform performance, and support organizational change initiatives.
- Define and monitor key performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting to measure adoption, operational effectiveness, and return on investment while driving continuous improvement.
- Lead a team of AI and automation professionals, including manager-level direct reports.
- Responsible for setting strategic priorities, establishing operational standards, and ensuring high-quality delivery of AI-enabled proposal support services.
- Servs as the senior business leader for AI and automation vendors, governance activities, adoption programs, and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications- 8+ years of experience in proposal operations, proposal development, automation, knowledge management, enablement, or a related business function within a regulated environment.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience, including performance management, coaching, workforce planning, and team development.
- Experience leading AI, automation, digital transformation, or technology-enabled business initiatives from strategy through execution.
- Strong understanding of generative AI, agentic AI, automation workflows, governance frameworks, and responsible AI practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, influence stakeholders, communicate effectively across organizational levels, and drive measurable business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting Medicaid Managed Care, government healthcare programs, or healthcare proposal development organizations.
- Experience leading managers or team leads within a matrixed, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience managing technology vendors, consulting partners, or enterprise software implementations.
- Experience leading change management, technology adoption, and organizational transformation initiatives.
- APMP certification or other project management, program management, or change management credentials.
Education- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
