A quick snapshot...As Director, Accounting at Conga, you will lead the global accounting function, overseeing the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial reporting, close processes, and compliance framework. You'll be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations while continuing to build scalable processes that support a high-growth SaaS environment.
You will partner closely with Finance, FP&A, Legal, and business leaders to ensure alignment between operational activities and financial outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will both guide the team and actively contribute to key deliverables such as month-end close, audits, and technical accounting matters.

The Director, Accounting plays a central role in managing the close process, preparing for and leading annual audits, and continuously improving accounting operations. This position also drives cross-functional alignment, ensuring that financial processes scale with the business while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance standards.
Are you the person we're looking for?Related experienceYou bring 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles within a SaaS or technology-driven organization. You have strong expertise in US GAAP, financial reporting, and managing the month-end and quarter-end close processes. Experience leading teams and developing talent is essential.

You bring a proactive approach to identifying issues, solving problems, and influencing decisions through data and financial insight. You understand how to scale systems and workflows in a growing organization and can implement best practices that stand up to audit and compliance scrutiny.
InitiativeYou take ownership of outcomes and don't wait for direction. Whether it's improving close timelines, enhancing reporting, or addressing gaps in controls, you proactively identify opportunities and drive them through to completion.
Industry expertiseExperience in SaaS accounting is highly preferred, including familiarity with revenue recognition (ASC 606), subscription models, and billing integrations.
EducationBachelor's degree in Accounting is required; CPA strongly preferred.
Here's what will give you an edge...Tools and systems experience- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite (or similar)
- Familiarity with financial reporting and consolidation tools
- Experience partnering with FP&A systems (Adaptive, Anaplan, etc.) is a plus
Audit & compliance leadership- Proven experience leading annual audits and working with external auditors
- Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance frameworks
Process improvement mindset- Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance scalability and efficiency
- Experience shortening close cycles and improving reporting accuracy
Cross-functional partnership- Ability to effectively collaborate with Billing, AR, Legal, FP&A, and business stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate accounting concepts to non-financial audiences

Listed below is the U.S. base salary range for this full-time position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education, or training. In addition to base salary, Conganeers receive a variable incentive pay component, perks such as flexible work options, and a full range of benefits including medical and dental insurance.
The posted salary ranges are for the expectations outlined in the job description. We are often open to a wide variety of profiles and sometimes have flexibility within our organizational structure to adjust the role responsibilities up or down should we select a candidate that is less or more experienced than the posted job requirements. In these occasional cases, we will communicate the revised salary range to the candidate during the selection process.

$157,310-$251,700 USD
