Full Job Description
The Fullstack Digital S/W Engineer Sr Analyst (SDE/T)is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

(SDE/T Focus)

This role operates as a full-stack Software Development Engineer in Test (SDE/T) within an Agile Scrum team. The position combines hands-on software development, quality engineering, and digital accessibility responsibilities to deliver customer-facing banking and credit card features across web browser and mobile channels.

As a seasoned professional, the SDE/T is expected to apply in-depth technical knowledge while contributing to the improvement of development, testing, and accessibility practices. The individual will integrate subject matter expertise in frontend, backend microservices, test automation, and ADA compliance, ensuring high-quality, inclusive digital experiences.

Key Additional Responsibilities (SDE/T Specific)
  • Actively participate in all stages of the Agile SDLC, including user story grooming, story pointing, decomposition of large features, and definition of clear acceptance criteria.
  • Develop, configure, and debug full-stack applications consisting of Angular-based browser/mobile frontends and Spring Boot microservices.
  • Create, maintain, and execute automated and manual test scripts using BDD frameworks. This includes Selenium for web, Appium for mobile, and API testing with Postman or equivalent tools.
  • Build and integrate CI/CD pipelines by creating and maintaining Jenkins jobs that run automated test suites.
  • Validate Responsive Web Design and ADA Accessibility compliance using screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, Talkback), automated scans with Axe, color contrast analysis, and other accessibility tools.
  • Own testing artifacts including Test Plans, Exit Reports, and full traceability between user stories, test cases, and defects. Maintain strict SDLC hygiene to ensure no untested code reaches production.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for defects, application issues, and performance concerns. Collaborate across scrum teams, upstream/downstream systems, and external partners to resolve issues.
  • Continuously build and document Subject Matter Expertise (SME) covering end-to-end flows from digital channels through downstream systems and external partners.
  • Adhere to Citi's SDLC standards, ADA guidelines, and participate in retrospectives, process improvement workshops, and audits.
  • Provide post-production support, including technical go-live checkouts and RCA for production issues.
  • Review metrics and proactively introduce improved visibility mechanisms to keep programs on track and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with both onshore and offshore team members.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • 3+ yers of combined Development and Quality Engineering (SDET) experience in a fast-paced, time-to-market driven environment.
  • 3+ years Full-stack development experience using Spring Boot microservices and Angular frontend.
  • 3+ years strong testing experience with BDD frameworks, Selenium, Appium, Jenkins, and Postman (or equivalent).
  • Exposure to AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Devin, or similar tools is required.
  • Preferable experience with cloud-based development leveraging public clouds or internal cloud platforms such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) in a PaaS environment.
  • Working knowledge of PEGA (or similar workflow systems), Jira, Zephyr, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office suite.
