About the job you are considering Responsible for leading Digital Mock-Up (DMU) activities throughout the product development lifecycle. This role ensures the integrity and quality of the digital product definition by validating designs in context, identifying and resolving integration issues, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration among engineering, manufacturing, and program stakeholders.
They will focal point for digital integration activities, driving resolution of design clashes, clearance concerns, installation challenges, and interface conflicts. In addition, the role supports continuous improvement and transformation initiatives aimed at simplifying DMU processes, tools, and ways of working to enhance efficiency and product maturity.
Your Profile - Perform DMU reviews to validate design maturity, product integration, and installation feasibility.
- Assess designs in context to ensure proper fit, form, function, and maintainability.
- Identify and analyze: Geometric clashes and interferences, Clearance and accessibility concerns, assembly, interface and installation issues
- Ensure consistency and integrity of the product digital definition across disciplines.
- Participate in digital transformation initiatives aimed at improving DMU effectiveness and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, methodolgy related to design activities.
Your Skills and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering related to integration, product development, design validation, or Digital Mock-Up activities.
- Knowledge of CATIA V5, digital mock-up methodologies, product structure and configuration management.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is CAD $62,874 - $137,179 / year.
