Job Description

Change the world. Love your job.
Power the future. Love the work.

Digital designers bring silicon to life. In this role you will define, develop, and refine the digital portion of battery gauge mixed signal SOCs -translating system intent into micro-architecture, RTL, and ultimately production-ready hardware. You will partner closely with system, analog, verification, and product engineering teams to own block-level specifications, and carry designs through concept, implementation, and validation into mass production. Along the way you will analyze data and prove out methods that meet demanding performance, quality, and reliability targets.

If you are looking to join a creative, highly driven and collaborative team that consistently delivers groundbreaking technology into the world of battery gauges, this is your opportunity.

Qualifications

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with system and analog design to define digital micro-architecture specifications and implement the RTL that realizes them.
  • Drive the full digital flow from RTL to physical layout (RTL-to-GDSII), applying and advancing industry best practices, and guide fellow team members through it.
  • Partner with Design Verification, Validation, Product Engineering, and Test Engineering to ensure a smooth, first-pass transfer to production.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to understand design requirements, solve problems, and lead technical discussions.
  • Explore opportunities to optimize and improve our digital designs and help evolve architectures over time.

Why you'll want to be here:

  • We place a high emphasis on both technical and management growth, with real opportunities to expand your role as you grow.
  • A team that lifts each other up. Strong team spirit and genuine collaboration are core to how we work, and they create the room for everyone to build new skills.
  • Room to innovate. From integrating ARM cores and working closely with the analog team in evolving new mixed signal and signal processing architectures, you'll grow into embedded and DSP design while having the freedom to try new approaches and see them ship.

Minimum requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant digital design experience.
  • A thorough understanding of digital logic design.
  • Experience with the full digital flow, RTL to GDSII.
  • Familiarity with Verilog and digital simulators.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience developing digital for embedded controller products.
  • High aptitude for learning, developing, and integrating modern design flows into digital design methodologies.
  • Strong scripting skills and a drive to automate.
  • Thorough understanding and hands-on experience with digital interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and SPMI.
  • Experience with asynchronous digital circuits and state machines.
  • Experience with SystemVerilog, including its associated design verification (DV) aspects such as UVM, testbench development, assertions, and functional coverage.
  • Exposure to Digital Signal Processing (digital filters).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Initiative, ownership, and a consistent drive for results.
  • Strong time-management skills that enable on-time project delivery.
  • Ability to collaborate with, and provide leadership to, cross-functional teams.
  • A demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships and thrive in a team environment.
