Full Job Description
Overview:

Are you passionate about BIM and energized by helping project teams work smarter and faster?

HGA is seeking a Digital Design Support Coordinator to join our Digital Practice Group and play a pivotal role in supporting architectural and engineering teams across the firm. This role reports to the Director of Digital Design - Operations and works closely with architects, engineers, and Digital Practice peers nationally.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment and enjoys solving real‑world digital workflow challenges. Your work will directly improve project delivery by reducing friction, reinforcing standards, and ensuring teams can confidently use the right tools at the right time.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as a front‑line digital support resource for architectural and engineering teams, providing timely troubleshooting and guidance across tools such as Revit, ACC/BIM 360, Dynamo, and related platforms
  • Resolve software, standards, and workflow challenges to keep project production moving efficiently and consistently
  • Reinforce HGA’s digital standards by helping teams apply the right tools and workflows at the right time
  • Deliver support through ticket‑based requests, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams, ensuring clear communication and practical, actionable solutions
  • Reduce friction in project delivery by identifying issues quickly and enabling teams to work with confidence and accuracy

Beyond the day-to-day:

This role is a key contributor to proactive, data‑informed enablement across the firm. You will help monitor and interpret internal dashboards—such as ticket trends, Kinship insights, and Guardian data—to identify emerging issues, anticipate project needs, and shape targeted training topics. You’ll also participate in HGA’s internal “digital water cooler” (Viva Engage), helping surface, validate, and elevate effective user‑driven solutions.

This position sits within a clear and intentional career path for technology professionals at HGA, offering opportunities to grow from hands‑on technical support into advanced specialist roles, leadership positions, or firm‑wide digital strategy work.

Travel is minimal and may include occasional collaboration with DPG peers, conference attendance, or participation in training delivery and presentations. To support firm‑wide coverage, West Coast candidates must be able to work past core hours to accommodate Midwest and East Coast teams.

In this role you will:

  • Provide day-to-day BIM and digital workflow support to architectural and engineering project teams.
  • Troubleshoot software, standards, and workflow issues to keep projects moving forward.
  • Monitor support dashboards and data trends to identify opportunities for proactive outreach and training.
  • Assist in developing targeted training content based on recurring or emerging issues.
  • Expand and support office hours for on-demand assistance across projects.
  • Apply and reinforce HGA digital standards in all guidance and responses.
  • Contribute to the development, refinement, and documentation of digital workflows and best practices.

You will need to have:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in architectural or engineering BIM project work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit (including common plug-ins) and BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Working knowledge of Dynamo, AutoCAD, clash detection and coordination tools (Navisworks, Revizto, Model Coordination).
  • General familiarity with Facility Management workflows, including COBie and/or Autodesk Tandem preferred.
  • A strong understanding of project workflows from design through construction administration, grounded in industry standards, data formats, and delivery practices.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a range of users.

Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs.
