The Digital Commerce Manager plays a critical role in scaling online sales by leveraging data-driven insights, improving conversion rates, and continuously refining merchandising, marketing, and user experience strategies across all digital touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead Online Commerce: Manage Wilbert's website, ecommerce marketplace, and third-party integrations, ensuring brand consistency, optimal performance, and coveted user experience.
- Customer Experience Optimization: Enhance the end-to-end digital customer journey from discovery through purchase and post-sale engagement while improving site usability, navigation, checkout flows, and personalization to maximize satisfaction and conversion.
- Supplier Experience & Enablement: Own the end-to-end third-party supplier journey on the marketplace (onboarding, catalog/content standards, integrations, order workflows, and ongoing support), developing clear playbooks, training, and SLAs.
- Digital Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital commerce strategy aligned to business objectives identifying opportunities to expand online revenue, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Digital Merchandising & Content: Collaborate closely with Product Management to define assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies, while leading online merchandising initiatives that drive engagement and conversion through high-quality, accurate product content.
- Digital Marketing Strategy: Collaborate with teams to execute SEO, AEO, GEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media campaigns aimed at driving high-quality traffic.
- Data Analysis: Own and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to online sales, analyzing data to identify trends, and making informed decisions to optimize performance.
- Inventory & Fulfillment: Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure products are in stock and orders are fulfilled efficiently.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a bridge between Marketing, IT, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure a cohesive customer journey, platform stability, scalability, and innovation.
Experience and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-7+ years of leadership experience in online marketplaces, online retail operations, ecommerce management, and digital marketing, with experience leading direct reports, projects, and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with web design principles, CRO strategies, UX/UI principles, and personalization tools
- Ability to interpret data, provide actionable insights, and make strategic decisions
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong understanding of SEO, AEO, GEO and digital marketing principles
- Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics or similar platforms)
- Experience with marketing automation and CRM systems
- Ability to lead and manage multiple projects, remain calm under pressure, work collaboratively, and maintain organizational brand standards
- Ability to effectively engage with team members of all levels and across departments
- On-Site or Hybrid role requiring presence at Corporate HQ (Leawood, Kansas).
- Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
