What You Will DoThis is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our established, team-based Endocrinology practice at Ascension Saint Agnes. Operating in a highly collaborative environment with strong physician-NP partnerships, this role is perfect for a clinician passionate about advanced chronic disease management. You will step into a supportive, well-respected practice with a robust internal referral base and the comprehensive resources of a premier health system network.
- Join an established team of 2 physicians
- Call structure: Phone only every 3 weeks
- Practice setting: Outpatient and Inpatient
- Access to robust care management, social workers, diabetic educators, collaborative physician team members
- Employed position within a nonprofit health system
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
- Deliver comprehensive endocrinology and diabetes care by conducting specialized patient assessments, ordering diagnostic studies, and managing complex chronic health conditions in close collaboration with our physician partners.
- Counsel and educate patients and families regarding individualized treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and community resources to improve long-term disease management and health outcomes.
- Optimize advanced diabetes technologies by interpreting Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) and insulin pump data, making precise clinical adjustments, and training patients to confidently use these tools.

What You Will NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
Education:
- Master's degree of Nursing required.
Additional Preferences- Experience working within a dedicated diabetes/endocrinology practice, or extensive experience managing complex diabetes patients in a primary care setting.
- Proven ability to interpret CGM and pump data, execute clinical adjustments, and lead patient training.
