Full Job Description
DevSecOps Engineer with an active TS/SCI security clearance to support our U.S. government customer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing and maintaining the infrastructure and services that support our software applications. Location: Onsite in Charlottesville, VA

Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain microservice based application(s) and their database(s) for DOD customers in a classified environment with Linux, Docker, and AWS.
• Troubleshoot and provide service to application users, work with network and infrastructure teams to ensure services are available, stable, and performant.
• Periodically run ingestion scripts to import data from related DOD API endpoints to update required data.
• Provide scripting and tool support for UNIX and Linux operating systems.
• Work with a supporting team of software engineers who develop in an unclass environment to update, troubleshoot, and improve the application services and their data stores.
• Administer the continuous integration, testing, and deployment of the application code from the unclassified to various classified environments.
• Responsible for performing the necessary security requirements that are inherent to code developed in an unclassified environment and deployed to a classified environment.
• Manage the underlying infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS) - both UI and command line / API interfaces.
• Maintain secure environment (e.g. SSL / TLS certificates), running security scans, Database access, etc.
• Assist and facilitate in ISSO related tasks for successful ATO accomplishment

Qualifications
• Solid Linux command line skills to diagnose and debug services, data stores, virtual machines, containers, etc. Currently this is RHEL / Centos 7 based systems.
• Run ingestion scripts, SQL and NoSQL updates, manage Terraform / Cloud Formation, Docker-compose, Jenkins build files, etc. with GIT based tools.
• Continuous integration using Jenkins, Git, JIRA, etc.
• Basic familiarity with various databases including Postgres (RDS), Mongo (NoSQL Document Store), and search (Elastic Search / AWS). Ability to update data in these stores using command line when necessary.
• Services will eventually be fully containerized in Docker containers with a longer term goal of moving completely to something like ECS, Kubernetes, or similar.
• Troubleshoot RHEL systems and application problems and facilitate the necessary actions required to correct the problem
• Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated ability in RHEL system administration, User Management and Security Management tools
• AWS experience using RDS, Document DB, EC2, Cloud Formation / Terraform, etc.
• Shell scripting ability
• Ability to research problems and contact and escalate issues with third party hardware and software providers
• Communication and customer service skills to interact and solve problems with the customer and other contractors
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle, general dev ops.
• Documentation/technical writing
• Architectural Analysis

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred
• Six or more years of experience in a client-server environment
• Experience working with appropriate complex systems administration, database administration, and landscape maintenance
• Experience working with company products and services
• Experience working with company and client documentation and storage procedures
• Experience working with complex system implementations and organizational processes
• All developers supporting integration and testing or that otherwise require server-level access to the operational systems shall have completed DoD Directive 8570 mandated Technical Level 1 certification no later than 30 business days after contract award and shall maintain administrative accounts.

Clearance Requirement:
• Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance and pass CI poly.
