Overview

The DevOps Manager combines hands-on CI/CD modernization with release and delivery leadership for PhoenixTeam's Federal Housing Administration (FHA) program. The role strengthens quality controls, coordinates software releases, and helps development teams organize and complete delivery work.

The current pipeline environment includes Jenkins. The work also includes release-quality controls and Fortify scan processes, along with the documentation and coordination needed for software releases.

Key Functions

  • Modernize legacy CI/CD pipelines and Git-based delivery workflows, including work in the program's current Jenkins environment.
  • Strengthen pipeline quality checks and scans, including Fortify scan processes, as part of release and change control.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline and deployment issues with development teams and document pipeline changes.
  • Coordinate release activities and prepare required release documentation.
  • Work with development teams to apply and improve software release and change-management practices.
  • Organize delivery work across development teams and help resolve issues that prevent releases from being completed.


Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; a master's degree and 4+ years; or an associate degree and 8+ years.
  • Hands-on experience building, maintaining, or modernizing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience coordinating software releases and organizing delivery work across development teams.
  • Experience with pipeline quality checks, technical troubleshooting, and release documentation.
  • Must be eligible to successfully complete the background investigation required for a Public Trust position and receive a favorable suitability determination.


Preferred Qualifications or Skills

  • Experience applying change-management practices to software releases.
  • Experience coaching teams in agile delivery practices.
  • Experience supporting federal programs or working in mortgage or related fields.
  • Prior experience completing a federal background investigation or clearance process.
