What You'll Do

As a DevOps Engineer at LYNKED, you will own the cloud infrastructure and deployment ecosystem that powers our IoT platform and smart metering products. Reporting to the DevOps Team Lead, you will work with a high degree of autonomy and collaborate closely with the software development and QA teams. You will:
  • Manage and maintain LYNKED's AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, ECR, S3, and related services
  • Monitor cloud system performance, availability, and reliability; respond to incidents and drive resolution
  • Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins) to support reliable, repeatable deployments across environments
  • Support infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g., Terraform) to help automate provisioning and configuration
  • Assist with cloud networking and IAM configuration (VPCs, security groups) alongside senior team members
  • Monitor logs, metrics, and alerts using tools such as CloudWatch; identify patterns and proactively address risks before they become incidents
  • Support cloud cost visibility and optimization - tracking usage, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements
  • Manage containerized services using Docker and support deployment of containerized workloads
  • Collaborate with developers and the QA Engineer to support release management, test environment provisioning, and deployment quality
  • Provide support for integration testing where needed - helping validate deployments and infrastructure changes alongside the QA Engineer
  • Document infrastructure configurations, runbooks, and operational procedures to support continuity and team knowledge
  • Contribute to improving deployment automation, cloud best practices, and operational tooling over time

What We're Looking For
  • 2-4 years of experience in cloud operations, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering
  • Experience using AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECR, S3) - enough to navigate the environment and troubleshoot issues; deep specialization is not required
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent)
  • Experience with Docker and containerized deployment environments
  • Comfort working within a Linux environment
  • Working knowledge of cloud networking concepts: VPCs, IAM, security groups, and routing
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms (CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog, or similar)
  • Exposure to integration testing concepts is an asset
  • Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or a similar language for automation tasks
  • Understanding of IoT systems, device communication, or distributed architectures is an asset
  • Familiarity with agentic AI tools and AI-assisted development (e.g., Claude Code) is an asset
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve cloud-side issues
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed and ownership-oriented - someone who identifies problems, takes initiative, and thrives in a lean, fast-moving environment

Perks & Benefits
  • Health & Dental Benefits: Company-paid comprehensive health, dental, critical illness, and life insurance
  • Retirement Savings Program: Company-matched Group RRSP with employer contributions through a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP)
  • Professional Development: Tuition reimbursement and continuous learning opportunities
  • Growth Opportunities: A mentorship-forward environment with a clear path into senior cloud or infrastructure engineering
  • Office Perks: Stocked snack bar, fresh coffee, and a welcoming in-office environment
  • Company Events: Team gatherings and social events throughout the year
