Role Overview:The Deploy Automation Engineer will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, enhancement, and ongoing development of continuous build and integration infrastructure. The role will focus on automating CI/CD processes, supporting Linux environments, maintaining deployment scripts, and enabling efficient movement of code through Development, Test, Staging, and Production environments.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, maintain, and continuously improve continuous build and integration infrastructure.
- Create and maintain fully automated CI build processes across multiple Linux environments.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance build and deployment scripts.
- Support the integration, operation, change management, and maintenance of CI/CD tools.
- Support end-to-end automation of CI and testing processes.
- Develop and maintain policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and technical guidance for CI/CD operations and development teams.
- Onboard, train, and support developers throughout the software delivery lifecycle, including source control, build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, and deployment.
- Enable DevOps practices by facilitating the movement of code from Development and Test through Staging and Production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the CI/CD pipeline.
- Collaborate effectively with development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- CMS experience is preferred.
Required Technical Skills- 2+ years of experience with Red Hat Ansible
- 2+ years of experience with Jenkins
- 2+ years of experience with Linux Operations
Additional Requirements- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance.
- Must have established residency in the United States for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
- Candidates must be local to the Washington, D.C. Metro/Northern Virginia area. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
