The Role The Development Operations Manager serves as technical lead supporting Project Developers as projects move from greenfield origination through regulatory approvals and into construction. The ideal candidate brings power systems or electrical engineering experience alongside project development know-how - someone who can engage credibly with utilities and engineers and bring that technical depth to permitting, interconnection, and design reviews.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as technical lead to Project Developers across greenfield solar and storage projects
- Manage external engineering and environmental consultants, review designs and deliverables
- Coordinate schedules and budgets through the full development process
- Interface with municipalities on permitting and technical matters including public hearings
- Manage fieldwork, vendors, regulatory agencies, and internal SMEs
Requirements- 5+ years experience, at least 2 in energy
- Power systems or electrical engineering background strongly preferred
- Project management experience (G-Suite, MS Project or equivalent)
- PMP certification a plus
