Development Operations Engineer, Associate is a critical role in maintaining the stability, reliability, and performance of one of Infor's key revenue-generating cloud applications. This position focuses on proactively identifying and resolving potential infrastructure and application risks before they impact customers, helping ensure exceptional service availability and customer satisfaction. The role partners closely with Operations, Development, and Cloud teams to support large-scale enterprise environments while contributing to the ongoing evolution of a legacy platform. This is an excellent opportunity for an infrastructure professional to gain hands-on experience with enterprise-scale cloud services, enhance technical expertise, and make a measurable impact on operational excellence.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:- Participate in a rotating on-call support schedule (approximately every third weekend). While active weekend work is not expected, you may be required to respond to production incidents, troubleshooting issues, following established runbooks, and escalating incidents appropriately to maintain system reliability and availability.
- Monitor production environments and infrastructure health to identify potential issues before they affect system stability or customer operations.
- Analyze trends, capacity metrics, alerts, and system behavior to proactively mitigate performance and availability risks.
- Collaborate with development and cloud operations teams to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent recurring production issues.
- Automate operational tasks and streamline support processes using scripting technologies such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Support AWS-based cloud environments and contribute to maintaining highly available, scalable enterprise applications.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical production incidents and coordinate timely resolution activities when needed.
- Document findings, operational procedures, and recommendations that improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
Basic Qualifications:- Academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience supporting Linux-based systems in production environments.
- Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Linux operating systems.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure platforms, preferably AWS.
- Demonstrated experience supporting critical production systems and responding to operational incidents in a structured environment.
- Proficiency with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
- Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue prevention.
- Ability to work on-site three days per week as part of a hybrid work model.
- Ability to participate in a rotating on-call support schedule (approximately every third weekend).
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience supporting enterprise-scale SaaS, cloud, or high-transaction production environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and operational monitoring tools.
- Exposure to database administration, application performance monitoring, or platform support activities.
- Experience working within AWS-centric operational environments.
- Knowledge of Progress OpenEdge or other legacy enterprise platforms.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across Development, Operations, and Infrastructure teams.
- Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a proactive mindset focused on identifying and solving potential issues before they become incidents.
