Description & Requirements

Join us as a Development Director to help lead the Frostbite ACE team. Reporting to the Director of Engine Development, you will be accountable for operational excellence across Agentic Engineering, Data & Insights, and Documentation teams.

Responsibilities:
  • You will drive the operating rhythm across all teams within the ACE team area: planning, sequencing, capacity, risk identification, dependencies, status, and decision flow.
  • Partner with the Director of Engine Development and Technical Director in the leadership triad.
  • Adopt and promote Frostbite-wide operating processes (planning rituals, capacity modelling, risk and dependency tracking, status reporting, and talent recruitment).
  • Build the operating muscle for sustainable execution: realistic commitments, clean handoffs, and a delivery rhythm the team can hold over multiple quarters.
  • Reporting on progress, risks, and opportunities.
  • Coach and grow the DD leaders inside the three ACE sub-teams.
  • Model healthy triad partnership and promote a collaborative, inclusive, "one team" culture.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years leading delivery for technical teams and complex, multi-partner programs, in platform engineering, developer tools, or large-scale software environments.
  • You have experience installing and driving operating cadences at portfolio scale: planning, prioritization, capacity management, identification and mitigation of risk and dependencies, and providing credible status to senior leadership.
  • You are comfortable leading through rapid change, especially in fast-evolving technical domains (AI/ML, agentic workflows).
  • You excel at partnership and can broker resource and prioritization conversations across domains without authority over them.

Bonus:
  • Familiarity with AI / agentic workflows and developer productivity tooling
  • Experience in game development, game engines, or other large, long-lived codebases.

This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.
